Hugo - Ringside never posts the results until a week or two, or more, after the tournament is finished. I can't see anyone else doing it, not with 1200+ boxers competing.

I wish I wasn't right. I've offered in the past to post the results during the tournament if they would fax them to me. It's never worked out.

Most of the time, they just post the names of the champions or list the top 2 in each class. It is rare for them to post all of the results. In fact I'm not sure they have ever done it.

I can say from being there last night that it's way; way too busy for all of them to get posted, just the finals. I Know J'Leon Love is fighting tonight; Thomas Williams from Laurel, MD won yesterday and is fighting tonight. Personally, I think the way they have the venue set up is atrocious. Every single ring has the same buzzer, so it's confusing, and then they have this area in back set up with a bunch of bags and it's own timer going off, which makes the whole scene pretty confusing.

Yeah, they usually just post the final results. I can't believe they're using the same sound for all the rings. That is atrocious! Someone's likely to get hurt, let alone the referees getting confused. How many rings are there, Kolya?

Last year they had 6 rings and 6 different "sounds" but some of them were not that different. The air horn was loud and effective for its ring. It was so loud that it would sometimes cause boxers in other rings to stop. They had a bell, a whistle, a chirping noise, and a couple of other sounds. It still got confusing because there are so many sounds going off all the time and the rings are fairly close together - maybe 10 feet apart.

Did they still have 6 rings this year?

Yes, they have 6 rings, and they all have a freakin' horn as their noise. There's a noise for begining, end, and seconds out. And they're the same for every ring. I'll try to write down the men's open brackets as best I Can tonight for you guys if you'd like-there's 3 brackets at least for men's open 165.

Kolya - that would be great. If you can get the bout sheets and scan them, you could add them that way. I know that access to a scanner can sometimes be difficult. Whatever you can give us is better than what we currently have.

How about I write down tonights bout sheets and add them and as many of the results as I can get? I'll definitely be watching Duran Caferro fight, obviously (he annihilated his opponent last ) and then as many results/brackets as I can.

Hey guys-way too many bouts/bout sheets for one man to write down; I'll give you the highlights of what happened.

J Leon Love beat Chris Chatman in a hard fight, Chatman was HUGE and southpaw and bullied J'Leon inside a lot. Abraham Han won a pretty good fight pretty clearly. Duran Caferro beat his opponent with relative ease, considering he's not trying as hard as he can. Thomas Williams Jr. lost what I think is a bad decision. There were some interesting Masters Bouts as well (ok, some looked like bar brawls, but still); and psycho southpaw that I fought I think got given a concussion, because if I recognized her right, it was one of the Doctors from Nationals at his ring and she had him under observation for like 45 minutes.

You are right - 6 rings close together is annoying. I don't even like watching 3 rings at the same time like you do at US Chp and Nat'l GG. I understand the need for it, but 6 rings is overwhelming.

I believe the finals are tonight. Hopefully, we can the info on the #1 and #2 boxers in each class and results would be great too. You know - 5-0, 4-1, 3-2 (paper scoring), RSC, or RET. I am probably hoping for too much.

J'Leon Love lost in the finals, Duran Caferro won 125 open, I believe Abraham Han won his 165 bracket...there were a lot I couldn't see because of just how busy it was. Caferro tooled his opponent pretty good, J'Leon was in a rough clinch filled fight against yet another southpaw. Officiating was fairly poor. I was impressed with the Canadian boxers here. One boxer suffered a compound fracture to his lower leg, near the ankle. It was terrible.

With so many entries, it's very hard to get enough good officials to participate. How in the world did the boxer break his leg? I've never seen that!

Ringside is what it is.

Like anything with time...Ringside has improved over the years.

John Brown deserves credit for putting on such a show. True about the noises and all but its the ref's job to keep command of his ring and it not quite like fan man is flying to the ring from above as some would like to make it seem.

Dont forget many kids on these teams come from inner cities where some kids dont get to travel anywhere in life but maybe to Ringside where they can compete and dream of being the next De la Hoya. Perhaps many wont make it bigtime and most wont. But it can keep most out of trouble and teach many disapline and order. It wont happen for all kids but the more it helps out the better for all of us. I was a terrible kid...boxing change me. Anytime you can have something like this for Kids to look forward to going and families to go on a trip together is all good.

There any many disapointments and most leave the tournament losing. But sometimes in losing that is where we sometimes win and isnt that what keeps us all attach to this sport coming back for more.

I love it and Im sure all do also.

Ive enjoyed Ringside as much and no different from competing at Olympic Trials and Olympic Boxing Off Etc. Etc.

Ringside is what it is. I thank John Brown. My fighters enjoy it so much and new ones cant wait to go next year.

I personally don't care for the Ringside tournament too much. It's good enough, I suppose, I think the officiating is terrible and the venue could be arranged much better.

It is kind of ironic that the biggest criticism is that the tournament is too big, with too many boxers, too many rings, etc. I have to admit it was overwhelming, but it gives a lot of boxers there only real chance to compete.

I too thank John Brown and Ringside for putting on the tourney. The boxers that don't like it won't go back, but plenty of boxers and coaches will return, year after year.

It was terrible. I fought on Friday evening and my ref had no voice left what so ever. I did not hear her yell 'break' once and I didn't recognize the bell for my ring at all.
