Dunne-Martinez, Barrera-Pac, Vargas-Mayorga,
Simpson-Morris, Woods-Gonzalez 2, Calzaghe-Kessler

Like I say, great work, they're becoming major players, but they need to fix that problem where you're basically looking at a little box in the middle of your TV set.

This is what happens when ppl fvck around and try to be fancy with widescreen.

Mine's fine, maybe you need to adjust your box.

Change the screen settings. :TU:

Adjusting the screen does nothing. Box settings - no results. It's still a 4:3 box trapped within a 16:9 ratio. If you undo the 16:9, you basically have a very thin vertical rectangle.

This is a widespread problem, see the digitalspy.co.uk forums

Setanta worked fine when I watched last June's fights. Now I'm trapped with a picture frame image.

Is it really just £9.99 a month with no contract like the adverts say?

Or is there some 'hiiden' small print?

Sky had a similar thing going on recently, they wrote to B News apparently it is not something they have any control of as they are re-broadcasting another image

Mosley - Cotto's not even been signed yet, has it? Below are the ones that Setanta said were lined up.

Dunne-Martinez, Barrera-Pac, Vargas-Mayorga,
Simpson-Morris, Woods-Gonzalez 2, Calzaghe-Kessler

Enzo Macca, who was in the studio last night, obviously is on the Calzaghe undercard, probably/hopefully vs Cunningham.

They also don't have the Hatton fight. (Saw musings about it on another thread but I'll put what I know in here.)

this is taken from an article about the footy being on Setanta from today's Independent.

"outside of football, the greatest coup came with scooping the last Ricky Hatton fight, and now theupcoming Calzaghe-Kessler unification fight. He says Setanta's chequebook is also in the ring for Hatton v Mayweather, "though there will be a lot of competition from Sky and ITV for that one"."

not much there, but at least it shows that it's not covered under the Hobson deal.

Really hope SKY don't get it. Their coverage is first rate, don't get me wrong, but at least with Setanta or ITV it won't be on PPV since Setanta offer all their shows for no extra fees to subscribers. Just said I'd give you all a heads up

I Love Football & Boxing... Look.... We're getting both off Setanta in heavy abundance which is great, Sky will get Hatton v Mayweather I suspect because they have too now, It will be on PPV but Setanta are making a name there can be no doubt now Gents...

There's people who have subscribed to Setanta on here but will not give them a chance because its now 2 Sports Sub's required to view....

Look to America lads and then you'll see true rip-off antics going on we should be happy

If Setanta are savvy enough i imagine they will get a big fight every month to keep people ticking over on subscribtions. The no contract thing is a good idea too, it's effectively PPV. The thing with SKY is they offer great deals to get you on board on a 12 month contract and as soon as you have signed they don't give a shit about you. It all revolves around the new customer, if your box goes weird or anything they just offer some £60 a time engineer to come round and take a peek. I only hope i can get the Setanta on my freeview box, i don't appear to have a card slot

Well I have Setanta mainly for the boxing, Christ a tenner who can complain about that - Its my subscription to Sky sports, again mainly for the boxing that is my problem - If that was a tenner I would be happy to pay it.

I've only seen the advert once, but I believe he says "Thanks Dickie", believing Lynam to be Dickie Davies.

That makes sense, further making the point that the man is getting everything wrong - Cheers thanks a lot.
