Always a fan of Prodigy or Chemical Brothers. Also the Human Traffic soundtrack has a great mixture of tunes to get you pumped.

Northern Soul stuff. Good tempo, short, lyrics are not offensive and sound great played loud.

Actually, what is spinning?

Middle-aged or not as soon as the opening bars of 'Still Dre' or 'The next episode' come on they will no longer spinning, they will be bouncing it up and down.

True enough it’s a great album,,

Spinning is basically groups riding stationary bikes in a dark room to music.

Very popular these days in health clubs.

The opening bars of the the Chronic 2001 are awesome, as is the entire album.

The original 'Pirates Anthem' is by Cocoa T, I've got it at home.

Truth? Do you mean truth hurts? Truth Hurts did a great first album, produced of course by Dre.

Got Two blackstreet albums delivered yesterday, as well as the excellent 'let's get free' by Dead Prez, one of the few hip hop bands around these days with anything of any note to say.

Another great tune for a ringtone, 'Hustler' by Jay-z, wicked tune.

Max Romeo, forgotten about him, must try and download some stuff. Wasn't it Max Romeo and the upsetters?

Beres Hammond is the don for me at the moment, 'Doctor's Orders, one of the best Lovers Reggae tunes ever.

Also worth checking out is Delroy Wilson, whose version of 'have some mercy' is one of the simplest yet most moving Reggae songs of all time.

If you're interested terrence, I can bung some stuff on MP3 on a disk for you, got a lot of stuff you'd probably like on my PC.

I got the Truth Hurts album on the basis of the song with Rakim and the album is pretty good. Love the song 'Truth Hurts' and was stunned when I realised song smith and child abuser R Kelly was doing one of the verses.

Romeo did a bulk of stuff with the Upsetters and his stuff crosses over a few albums. If you haven't got it I'll put 'Norman the Gambler' onto a CD and pop that in the post along with a few versions of 'War inna Babylon'. Lost my copy of the Upsetters song 'Neckodeems' recently so if you have that.

Dead Prez are top-notch, pity they got dropped because no one was buying. The wolf intro is excellent and their second album is top-drawer. I'll pop that onto disc also.

Wilson and Hammond sound good. If you haven't it I'll put 'Stand up (dub) for ya rights' onto disc also, both versions along with 'Woman and money' with the horns section Primal Scream nicked for 'Loaded'.

Yeah, Dead Prez got dropped by sony didn't they?

I can see why though, they are quite anti-white in their lyrics and these days if you're a hip hop act you got to be able to cross over. They ain't the friendliest bunch.

Pity as they've got some ludicrously fat beats on their tunes and really good lyrical content on the whole. The tune 'hip-hop' is one of my favourites of all time.

I've got an entire triple albums worth of Delroy Wilson you can have.

Lost poets, yes, can see the similarity, they make the kind of music I think the lost poets would be making if they were around now.

They got dropped but managed to release a mix-tape, not been able to get it yet. One of their affiliate members has released an album with a track featuring Ghostface so that will be bought. They were like The Lost Poets only with killer tunes.

got dub side of the moon but hte best of the lot is Radiodread same guys who did dub side of the moon. Ive got nigh on 400 reggae cd's of various types so any requests ill dig em out for ya and burn em .

Buju banton, Wayne wonder, Eeek a mouse, Old stuff (ansell collins etc) early UB40 Baggariddem and the like plus untold compilations n best of's.

Bedouin soundclash are also feckin ace.

On a serious note, was just looking on amazon, and there are so many UB40 albums on there I've never heard which looks really interesting.

Guns in the Ghetto, Cover Me and their Dancehall album all look very interesting.

you Gyptian for a bit of lighter reggae is quite kool, got a quality limited copy Sean Paul album as well as best of Black Uhuru and Burning spear.
