Not sure what your relationship with Peter is but I manage Michael Gomez and can confirm we offered Peters team a fight with Michael on his first comeback fight - they did not want to know.

Gomez has a fight on 22nd September and is then expected to box again in October - if you know Peter and he can make 9st 6lb the day before then we will be happy to settle things in October.

lets get this straight, McDonagh is shit, seriously, the guy is shit. Beaten by the likes of Daffyd Carlin, Robbie Murray and Ceri Hall tell you all you need to know - ALL his wins have been against tomato can punchbags (oh yeah and one mentally unstable/fixed Gomez)

Gomez is shot, has been for years, sure he can pull it together for the old fight (if he can stay off the sauce and getting into scraps of the street) but essentially he is a spent force. Saying that McDonagh should never get back in the ring with him again. Peter you have had your moment of glory dont ruin it by getting back in the ring with a shot GOmez and having him still tear you a new hole.

McDonagh has been robbed a number of times, he def beat David Burke He is a throw back & took fights on hours notice before. Alot of times its not how good a fighter you are its how good your guided. McDonagh prepared 100% for Gomez, It wasnt how poor Gomez was it was how good McDonagh was & how driven he was, in their fight look how Gomez was in first 3 rounds, he was up for it, they even had a scuffle at the weigh in so it makes me laugh when Gomez said his mind wasn't right or he wasn't up for it because these arent actions to support that, after 3 rounds he knew McDonagh wasnt the easy touch he thought he was.

Agree boxing is about opinons and in my opinion McDonagh won those close fights your talking about, and he certainly didnt look 'shit' againts Gomez did he. Also being from manchester is there a slight chance you may just be a little bit biased?? Its also my opinion that its uncalled for & disrespectful to say a boxer who mixes in decent level & pushes them close even in ones they lose 'shit' that goes a bit far, me thinks your very bitter over his win over Gomez & anyway if McDonagh is as 'shit' as you say wouldnt even a below par Gomez beat him?? also did you see McDonagh V David Burke? Correct me if im wrong but to me if your going to take a dive you'd do it early in the fight, you wouldnt try hard for the first 3 rounds then take punishment in the 4th then more in the fifth then turn away, I mean if Gomez intended to take a dive what if when he was trying he happened to cut McDonagh and win by mistake

. You have to view more than just a clip of a fight to make judgement but even that clip you show doesn't back up what you claim. Fact is Gomez tried his best for 3 rounds and when he knew he wasn't going to win and McDonagh was getting more on top he decided to quit

Are you asking me to get inside the head of GOmez??? Jesus, I hope I am never so deranged as to be able to do that.

I was at the fight that night - and the full fight was on the RTE website for months so anyone/everyone had access to see the full fight.

You keep avoiding this but name just one decent fighter that Peter has beaten apart from the GOmez fight.

McDonagh is an iron chinned , feather fisted journeyman with a reasonable punch output and decent stamina . I think it's unfair to call him shit but Gomez was beating the crap out of him for 3 rounds and then started to tire , however Gomez still won the 4th on my card and was winning the 5th till he just said 'fornicate it , why should I bother' .

Gomez claimed that he just decided to quit boxing there and then , and I believe him(although I originally went with the fix argument) I think it dawned on Gomez that his British title and WBU days headlining on Sky were over and from now on he was going to have to grind out tough victories over durable guys like McDonagh to even get near where he used to be and as I said thought 'fornicate it , why should I bother ?'

What ?............I just said I thought Gomez gave up while he was winning(I had him 4 rounds up) and there's no doubt about it Gomez was beating the crap out of McDonagh for almost all of the fight until he gave up .

Credit to McDonagh the guy is tough , but he is quite limited and has no punch whatsoever .
