The two clips made me laugh a lot, but for different reasons. Hatton goes to an interview with four women of a certain age and is genuinely funny, warm and charming.
Floyd appears on MTV and comes across as a tit.
Reminds me of a story last May in Vegas, I was dragged to Cheetahs, a strip joint of some repute (I say dragged, as sometimes Mrs Loynesy peruses these boards).
I was further dragged into the VIP room and was chatting to a charming young lady called Nicole. Her comment, on finding out I was a boxing fan, "I live two blocks away from Floyd Mayweather. He drives a Ferrari. He can't drive for sh!t, he stalls that car all down the street". Nicole got extra notes in her G-String for that anecdote.

I don't prescribe to this idea that 'Ricky just puts on weight easier than others'. It's because he eats carefully and trains like a demon for 12 weeks, then does nothing and eats like a slob for another 10. It would be easy to put on a 10 lbs a week like that.
Another thing, Floyd has really, really piled on the muscle since his early days. He's actually a little chunky.

Not quite. Floyd fills his face with crap in the same way ricky does, but he's a naturally smaller man who obviously wors out and doesn't eat huge amounts or drink a crap load of guiness. Watched that Mayweather cribs clip.
Firstly, his house looks crap: big for sure but utterly without any interest or style. It looks like a dull hotel that got a cheap deal on some shiny marble. There is no indication of anything in his life apart from a lot of clothes a few big tvs and some cars.
Secondly, Floyd is not an interesting man. He said nothing, not one phrase, that could not have been uttered by a ten year old.

I guess you could ask why has he ever had to grow up?
I was going to say something cliched like 'I pity his kid' but bollox do I, he's loaded!! Hopefully he'll have a touch more class than his old man but looking at the genetics (Floyd snr isn't exactly well read) I don't hold out much hope!

Agreed.. It was only at the end that Floyd looked an arse... Havin said that, its hardly surprising.. The guy is recognised as the best boxer on the planet and is totally loaded with a huge entourage of yes men around him who will alwyas be biggin him up and boosting his ego.. You've got to recognise the culutral difference. In this country, people who flaunt their wealth are considered 'noveau riche,' or even chavs. It's considered bad form to brag about how much money you have and to spend it conspicuously.
In America, it's very much the opposite, success, power and wealth are the be all and end all of existence, and this is just as true in the black community where it's 'all about getting paid.' It's considered de riguer for black sportsmen and music stars to follow an identikit outward personality.
On the Jay Leno show, I thought mayweather came across as much more the introspective and articulate sporting genius.
I'm sure Mayweather does spend his money like there is no tommorow, but in a sense, what is the point of having ludircous sums of money like that, if you cannot spend it foolishly, it's one of the points of becoming wealthy in the first place.
It's why stuff like Cristal champagne is so popular, it's obviously expensive, comes with nice shiny yellow stuff around the top, and makes rich people feel good.
Who knows what else Mayweather has done, he may well have made lots of investments with his money as well as throwing it around in nightclubs. His image does not neccessarily reflect who he really is. Point a camera at many people and they will become a right twat.
