Is Sky showing the Don King super bill?
Is Sky showing the Don King super bill?
Anyone know if we're gonna get this show? Sky and BBC have been showing just about everything between them latley it would suck if we missed this.
If the BBC get they'll only show one fornicating fight though which is little good to anyone.
info?

Pretty poor, its the Kingvision show (the worldwide PPV presentation). You get the Colonel guy do the commentary and some other old dude in a poor interview. Thats it, no studio guest, no promo's, nothing. Setanta do not add anything - they just play the Kingvision. For Don King, it is frankly dissapointing.
The annoying thing is, that you see Larry Merchant pass during the ring and you think "please lets hear the Merchant interview". Apparently, Merchant did a blinder with Hopkins last time - but all we had was "how you feeling Bernard" and "who's next Bernard".
Its quite poor, but you can't blame Setanta - Its actually Don King's fault.

Well at least there was a co commentator. For Hopkins vs Haakar we had nothing.
Now, going over an old argument here, I did score the rematch for Holyfield but that going to extreme.
His judging for what clearly seemed to be him mate David Tua against Hasim Rahman was somewhat bias. I think he scored it Tua by three. He gave the first to Tua.
And he kept calling Tua fornicating David all the time, like they were drinking buddies.
I did actually crave for Neilly, but he still worse. Did you here him on the weekend. "Barrera has Tapia on the back of his shorts in respect to his friend and rival Johnny Tapia who's sitting at ringside".
JIM NEILLY during Barrera vs Tapia "The Tapia on the back of his shorts has nothing to do with his opponent, but its his mothers maiden name".
WHAT THE fornicate......
Duke McKenzie "Marco Barrera is P4P the best featherweight in the world".
Jim Neilly "There'll be plenty of very good featherweights gunning for Pacquiao now. People like Derrick Gainer"
Incidently, what is the ruling as far a DQ. I'm bloody sure they are considered stoppages. If Evander's DQ victory over Tyson is considered an inside the distance win (which it really should do) then a DQ is a stoppage. Anybody know? I'm sure both Bunce and Neilly were wrong there even technically. Although Neilly did make it sound like Junior was lucky to get the DQ.

If your referring to Hopkins-Hakkar Stu then i could have sworn that they showed the interview? I'm sure they did because Merchant and Hopkins ended up in a squabble?! And Hopkins was moaning how hard it was to make fights and he "called out" just about everyone and even commented on Joe Calzaghe, i'll dig out the tape for confirmation.stujones wrote:Pretty poor, its the Kingvision show (the worldwide PPV presentation). Anyway i have mixed feeling on the Setanta situation, they showed Jones-Ruiz and Hopkins-Hakkar so far and only throught Kingvision as you said but when i ordered the Hopkins match i was too tired to stay up so i watched the rerun the next morning to find only the main even and no undercard (i had only ordered it primarily for Tua-Rahman II) so i rung them up and they apologised and gave it me for free! I have still not seen Tua-Rahman II to this day but i hear i am not missing much
There's two things worth seeing in that fight. Rahman's spectacular rise in weight and the after-the-bell knockdown of the supposed iron man Tua.steve689 wrote:I have still not seen Tua-Rahman II to this day but i hear i am not missing much
Poor fight otherwise. Rahman would have pissed it if he hadn't been so heavy. Ruiz v Rahman should actually be an improvement.
