I read that the dispute was resolved. I didn't even hear about the dispute. It sounds like it had something to do with gender bias or discrimination. Does anyone know?
Here is a link to the statement that the dispute was resolved:

Dispute between Lisa Kuronya and USAB resolved?
I just found an article that describes the lawsuit and the settlement in vague terms.

The article states that there are confidentiality agreements as part of the settlement.

Lisa is a good friend of mine. We were both on Team USA in 2006. I don't know anything about the settlement other than that USA Boxing has agreed to make some "changes".
As to what the lawsuit was originally about, I think it was mostly regarding discrimination in funding between men and women in her region. Also about how male boxers got to stay and eat at the OTC for the 2006 US championships while the women didn't receive any benefits.

Didn't you also have issues with USA Boxing; or was it the LBC in Iowa for the Women's Golden Gloves?enforcer wrote:Lisa is a good friend of mine. We were both on Team USA in 2006. I don't know anything about the settlement other than that USA Boxing has agreed to make some "changes".

Yes, I had issues with the Iowa Golden Gloves. They refused to fund me at all to the women's national golden gloves tournament after I won the state open tournament. They fully fund to nationals all the male open winners of the Iowa GGs.Kolya wrote:

We filed a gender discrimination claim with the Iowa Civil Rights Comittee and they found probable cause that discrimination did occur. Unfortunately the case hasn't gone past that because the Iowa attorney general hasn't agreed to persue it for us and we don't have the motivation or resources to persue it on our own.
I feel the pain. Our region (Wymondak) didn't want to fund the ladies from our region to nationals too. Our coach was pretty pissed; brought up the whole Ted Stevens Act and all that jazz and eventually they gave in. At least the State (Montana) gave our women the same as the men for travelling.enforcer wrote:Yes, I had issues with the Iowa Golden Gloves.
