Fair enough mate. We learned from the Adamek fight that even Ulrich at his very best did not belong in the top 3-5 slots at LHW. Perhaps he is just European class...but if you look at his record he has dominated that European level (5-0 with the EBU on the line). Furthermore, some of these European foes he defeated went on to win a world title (namely Silvio Branco). Ulrich may not be a top 3-5 LHW, but he may well win a world title...I'd fancy a faded Ulrich vs a faded Stipe Drews to be a 50/50 matchup today.steve689 wrote:Yes, on paper it does appear a good fight, i feel Ulrich has found his level and it lies at European. Agreed, that was probably his best performance. Drews did everything right early to pick up points against Branco who was a faded force himself. I remember watching Ulrich against old man Rocchigiani on Eurosport and he looked class that night.
