The Boxrec end of year rankings for Bantamweights, 1945-49, look strange. I wanted to bring this to your attention (computerrank?) in case there has been an error and it can be fixed.
I was doing some research on Bantamweight champions and was using Boxrec's Annual Rankings pages. I noticed that though Manuel Ortiz was the #1 fighter in 1943 and 44, he wasn't ranked from 1946 through 1950--even though he was the undisputed Bantamweight champion!
Thank you for looking into this. If I've placed this in the wrong forum, I apologize.
Problem w/Boxrec's Annual Rankings for 1940s Bantamweights?

The problem is, the program analyses the weight division for every bout. As Ortiz had most of his bouts above bantamweight since 1944, at the end of the year he was rated at featherweight mostly. Although, as I see, his really important bouts were for the bantamweight world title.
I will see, how I can handle this in a better way.
Thanks.

Computerrank,
Thanks for looking into this. It's not the only instance, of course, but one that happened to jump out at me. There are other cases in the Bantamweights where the current champ (e.g Harada, Halimi) wasnt ranked in the Top 15.
I appreciate the challenges of keeping track of these issues.
