A whole lot of Major League baseball players, that's for sure. Even compared to less-well-regulated sports like boxing, MLB's drug testing policies are ridiculously lax. But let's face it - fans want to see lots of home runs.
IMO, all the home run records set in the past 10 years should have a huge question mark next to them - it's just not fair to the guys who hit 60 and 61 home runs (a) back when the MLB season had only 154 games (that was the reason they put the * next to Maris' record of 61), and (b) players couldn't use miracles of the modern pharamaceutical industry to pump up their bodies well into their late 30s.
Track & Field is the other biggie, although there they at least have uniform drug testing policies, and often store urine & blood samples for years, so they can retest for previously-undetectable steroids (as happened with the recent designer steroid scandal that originated here in the SF bay area.)
I'm sure there's a fair amount going on in boxing, too. But there, at least at the non-heavyweight classes, the most steroids will allow you to do is to train harder and recover somewhat faster - if you use them to bulk up, you can't make weight anymore. And the training-harder thing is mainly an advantage to a fighter who wants to get into shape in a hurry - for guys who stay in good shape between fights, 'roids will likely be of little benefit (at least relative to the risks they entail).

it would take much less space to list those who AREN'T on steroids.....bnut it would take much more time to try to think of them.
re:baseball..i agree..there should be an asterisk.....*A.S. for After Steroids.
would also be a good question for moderators here...it's common knowledge in thailand that tomato can has been on steroids for years...and ineed may even have invented them.
