Round 1

Larsen takes the middle of the ring

Typical first round - not that much action

If Hamdan wins this fight he will earn a 2 fight promotion contract with Sauerland Event

Close round - Im giving it to Larsen due to a few landed bodypunches.

I remember being quite impressed with Larsen about 5 years ago before he had that long period of inactivity. I thought he beat Ottke by a round or two as well, to be honest. Do you reckon he has enough left to make another challenge for a world title at this point?

Sounds like a good performance by Larsen but I doubt he can compete with the very top guys (kessler/calzaghe) at this late stage in his career. Maybe he would benefit from going upto lightheavy - which is weaker division IMO - could beat the likes of Woods and Drews though Dawson and Erdei wold be a tough ask

Yoan Pablo Hernandez and Karo Murat both went up to 12-0 today.

Murat beat Jermain Mackey over 8 rds. Mackey had gone 12 with Jean Pascal a while back in his only prior loss.

Hernandez stopped Daniel Bispo in the opening seconds with a body shot.

These fighters look promising.

Swartz was out for several minutes from his KO, Bispo basically quit.

He nearly took his head off with that KO. Abraham vs Pavlik would be a great match up

A belated thanks for the rbr's Freiheit! Abraham marches on and let's hope the Sturm fight can be made. Larsen will always be a good addition to the European scene but i think he is a bit long in the tooth for the top boys at this stage of his career. Hernandez is looking handy enough at Cruiserweight as well.

Good to see Mads Larsen back on the scene. I often wonder how things might have turned out for him had he been awardred the decision over Ottke. I had him absolutely thrashing Sven that night.
