Pastor Maurin is not better than anyone than Harrison has faced, what on earth do you mean? Maurin was already past his best when he faced Brodie, and he has lost 4 of his last fight fights.
His great achievement was going the distance against Barrera, he's rugged and tough, but
Beating Maurin is no greater an achievement that beating McCulloch, and the difference is that Brodie came within a whisker of getting stopped, and looked as usual like he had been chomped by a threshing machine by ehe end, whereas Harrison steamrollered
I like Brodie, but he's vulnerable and easy to hit, and gets hurt, Harrison I think is the better of the two, he has a better chin, and still has time to develop into a better fighter. Neither could ever be a dominant champion in the division but they are both world class. Even if Harrison loses to Medina again, there are other top fighters I would pick him to beat, but I feel he cannot last long at featherweight in any case.

Well, at the time, Maurin's record was 42 and 2. He may have seen better days but is a settled featherweight and is active, Harrison's best opponent is McCullough who is a bantamweight, past his best and coming off a long layoff. That's what I mean.
Let me echo you, I like Harrison, I think he's decent but people with Mc in their name tend to overrate him wildly. I've seen people here and there saying how he'd whip Barrera for instance when there was talk of the two meting in the ring.

I may have a Mc in my name, but I am no big believer in Harrison as a world beater, and just to correct you, McDonell is an Irish name, McDonald is scottish, so I ain't a sweaty sock.
I certainly have never claimed he could beat Barrera, but he has only lost one fight, and that to a an excellent and experienced former champ, who has only ever lost to the best, aside from early in his career. Surprised that he got stopped by Gainer though, wonder what happened there?

I do realise that (about your name), I'm Irish myself, it wasn't about you I was just pointing out why it's something I'm willing to be argumentative about.
But though, he hasn't only lost one fight, he's lost two. He was tko'd in the fourth by a guy with a record of 13 wins and 80 losses (though I freely admit I didn't see it, that's on the record).

Well said mccoy! This guy conveniently forgot to mention Chacon who is world class, & Harrison beat him!The REAL McCoy wrote:Bennie should ban you for stupid comments like that!mrbassie wrote:"Hell he amost got his clock cleaned by Pastor Maurin"
Maurin is better than anyone Harrison has faced. Harrison doesn't exactly have an iron chin himself, just ask Miguel Mathews (mind you Mathews does have an impressive resume) Louis Fuentes is probably as good as anyone Harrison has faced, which I predict will be proved in time, he was good.
Robinson was a good win on paper, but he lost his previous four, and since lost to Steve Conway of all people.
Patterson, again on paper was a decent win but his recent record going into that fight was patchy at best, I don't know where the hell you get that Harrison's record is better than Brodiesneither of them is exactly star studded, I'd give Brodie the edge on his recent opponents alone. Harrison has beaten lot's of stiffs, two faded names and a long layed off Wayne McCullough.
Sorry guys, I just never bought the hype, and Medina's gonna embarrass him again.
Honestly, this is one of the daftest posts McCoy has ever read![]()

Brodie is good but hasnt beat a prime world class fighter. Harrison has. End of story

six of one & half a dozen of the other, thats what the two quotes aremrbassie wrote:Very clever, might have looked good if you'd quoted what I actually said smartarse. I said people with a Mc in their name tend to overrate him wildly, I did not say "anyone with a Mc in their name is biased".
Explain it again properly.
It was a racist comment no matter how you try & paint it so stop squirming & admit you made an error of judgement against the scottish people

I dont want to argue with anyone, but you were racist towards Scottish peoplemrbassie wrote:No, I won't admit that because I didn't. How is implying home town fans tend to overrate their fighter racist? It isn't. So bollocks. No squirming boyo, and no error of judgment. If you want to argue with me then argue, but don't try slinging that shit at me, it's pathetic.
Did Martin Luther King accept it?
Did Nelson Mandela accept it?
Well neither should I
Alright, I've thought for a few moments, I was going to try and say this ibn words with one syllable so you might be able to comprehend but it's really not possible, but I think I can dumb this down just enough. It says under your name that you're in Scotland, which I assume to mean you're Scottish by descent, in which case (drumroll) I-AM-THE-SAME-fornicating-RACE-AS-YOU!!!
Savvy?

You know what though, I've rethought my position and you're right; I said Scots tend to overrate Scott Harrison and it was an awful thing to say. I am now going to log off of here and go and build myself a time machine so that I can travel back and take my place at the Nuremburg trials for my dreadful hate crime. I'm every bit as terrible a man as Goering and the rest, I mean look what I said, I may as well have lit the ovens

MrBassie, McCoy is so impartial poeple know him as "Mr Impartial"mrbassie wrote:Get me banned then if you want.
What did I say that was daft or remotely funny? I wonder if someone called McCoy can be impartial about this particular subject.
Come on let's hear it, wha's so wonderful that I should be impressed by Harrison?
What's with referring to yourself in the third person btw?
Harrison would stop Brodie, lets face it
Brodie dont take a shot too well, the punches that Chi hit him with looked nothing more than pitty-pat in McCoys big humble opinion, & Brodie was yet again tasting canvas
Brodie was also floored by another feather fisted fighter in Willie Jorrin, & badly hurt by Pastor Maurin(who?) who went on to show that he aint exactly Superman, getting KO'd against another bum & former Brodie victim Juan Cabrera
Brodie has also been decked by other fighters & went to hell & back in his fights with neil Swain & Brian Carr before Brodie came back to stop Swain & intentionally headbutting Brian Carr to win by TKO
Brodie won a controversial decision over South African Simon Ramoni, many felt Ramoni was robbed
More recently Brodie struggled somewhat with another unknown mexican Luis Fuente(who also was beaten shortly after Brodie scraped past him)in a fight where Michaels face was left battered & bruised, much like his fight with the aforementioned Pastor Maurin
This is why McCoy believes that Scott Harrison would make Brodie his bitch if they ever met, regardless of what Jack 'Daniels' Trickett & SKY tell you
MrBassie, you shouldnt really be talking about how good Harrison is and what he's capable of when you didnt even know the circumstances of his loss to Matthews(cut eye in case you still dont know)
Lets face it, Brodie is overrated, how the hell can SKY put him ahead of Gainer, Tapia & Harrison himself when all three have versions of world titles & all beaten top 10 fighters, which Brodie hasnt
McCoy thought Brodie lost to Jorrin by a round, in a close but not controversial fight & had Brodie behind by 3 rounds in the Chi fight
In fact, when Chi was announced the winner(before a few careless whispers took place at Ringside) you will see Brodie applauding the Korean, thinking he himself had lost
Brodie is a decent fighter, but he aint as good as Scott Harrison, and when Scott does beat Brodie you come back & bow down to your great uncle McCoy
McCoy has spoken...
McCoy, I rrealise Bodie is vulnerable, but so what, he gets up and no one has stopped him. Scott Harrison isn't a big puncher, I don't know why anyone thinks he is. Like I said in an earlir post, he's a typical run of the mill, average, stand upright, arm punching, one dimensional box fighter who will never cut it at top level. He had the WBO belt, whoopee, it's a so called world title that is actually on the level of an international title. Look what happened when an over the hill Medina (the only real world class op Harrison has faced, Chacon isn't that good), fresh from being spanked by Marquez, lowered his standards and came to fight a champ in europe, he made him look like a bumbling amateur and he will do again very shortly. I'm guessing you believe that utter shit about him being sick before the fight? What was it he said it was on the night, flu during camp was it? Right so first he's in the shape of his life, then he gets whipped and he had flu during camp, now months down the road he was throwing up, wonder how long it took him to think that one up.
Anyway 'm bored now, I've stated my opinion and I stick by it, Scott Harrison is an average fighter manoevered to a bogus title in typical FW fashion.
