Perales won despite having 2 X point deductions for holding/clutching.

Magdelano

Post by holeymoley99 »

I didnt see the Clark or Russell loses coming but I thought Gonzalez would beat Magdaleno based on Miguel's success at the 2004 trials. Diego was one of the two #1 seeds I had going down opening round ( Hunter to James later at 201+).

I think Ali or Belmontes will take 132 Crawford is too immature at this stage

So that means Magdaleno should meet Crawford in the first round of the consi bracket. Looks like we may have a #1 seed go two and out.

NBC owns the tournament.. not allowed to film the ring.. worse tho, is that they arent taping these matches...

Andrade showed his experience far outclassed his opponent, getting an RSC on points. Looked dominant and not even showing whole arsenal..

Thurman can swin for the fences.. Kid has major power.. No jabs, but when he caught his opponent flush, he was rocked, and after 8 count, quickly went for kill and finish his foe off.

Hatley was chopping down Campbell who had big height advantage. Hatley's overhands were landing early in bout. Campbell turned it into rough match with tactics and even scored an 8 count, but was outpointed by seeming wide margin. Hatley looked a bit sloppy to me.. Hatley-Thurman would be exciting if they meet.

Ali-Crawford match was very close, 6-4 after 2 rounds.. Ali leaves himself open too much with lunging movements and throws punches from out of range, leaving open for counterpunches.. Crawford looks like he can physically mature a bit more and will be very good. Decision looked to be very close.

No surprise i think james is a little overrated because of his size. Hunter is by far the best of this lot at 201+
