Two fights: Otis-Thobela and L'Heureux-Brown, scores/cmts

First, L'Heureux-Brown.

If there is ever a fight that needed a "controversial decision" tag thrown on it, it is this one. It was an 8 round bout. It was a hugfest, but it came down to the small man (Brown) connecting with big shots then getting in close while the big man (L'Heureux) missing everything and having to settle for kidney and rabbit punches on the inside. The scores were disgraceful: 79-73, 78-74, 78-74 in favour of L'Heureux. There were no point deductions even though there was a lot of clinching. When the results were announced, there was NO cheering. L'Heureux calmy stepped out of the ring with his "win", his arms down by his side. Once Brown's trainer lifted his arm, the crowd went into very enthusiastic applause. Brown lost due to a HORRIBLE hometown decision, much worse than anything I've seen in Germany. A monkey would have scored this bout as a whitewash for Brown.

OK, now to the Otis-Thobela fight. It was a slaughter. Otis looked just as good before his car accident: combos, weaving, etc. In this 8 round bout, the scores came out 80-70, 80-71, 80-71. There was a knockdown in the 6th round of Thobela (IF I remember correctly, could have been the 5th, I have to double-check this). Thobela landed one good shot in the last round that didn't faze Otis and that's it.

Thanks!

it was the 6th round that Otis knocked down Thobela. You may want to stick that in there. Thanks!
