I saw a brief interview with Lira. By the way, Lombardo's testimony was hilarious. He's just a victim of circumstance.

Jesse Ferguson, Bert Cooper, Elmer Ray, Bob Baker, Earnie Shavers,
Jeremy Williams, Calvin Brock, Mitch Green, Razzor Ruddock, Eddie Machen, Tommy Morrison.

To name a few of the HW who never became champs, but who were always around the game.

I love watching guys who are either over hyped or who just lack that greatness but who at times have moments of heroism and talent.

somebody had mentioned Johnny Lira earlier.
Johnny's biggest Win came over another exciting boxer who I always liked and who never quite made it to the top
Andrew Ganigan. He was a southpaw who hit hard enough to drop Arguello and completely starch Sean O'Grady He also had some pretty good boxing skills as well. A dodgy chin kept Ganigan from reaching the very top,but he had a few very entertaining fights on network TV in the early 80s
