I think Moorer would have a good chance of KOing Jones.

I like the chances of Moorer winning a tough fight.
This is an intriguing match. Its amazing how quick Moorer
seemed at LHW compared to when he jumped up to HW.

Jones wins this fairly easily. Moorer was too inexpirienced to catch Jones at 75. A shopworn Leslie Steward gave him all kinds of trouble.

I'm with markl, Jones dominates this one. Too quick, too many angles, just too good. Wide UD.

I tend to agree that the 175lbs Moorer would be too inexperienced for the 175lbs Jones, and might even get stopped. However, Moorer had awesome power and great speed at 175lbs, and would go in against Jones with a punchers chance.
Another interesting match-up is at HW. Could be a close call, Moorer had some decent wins but was never a great heavyweight. Could Jones have moved up and beat him? Close match up I'd say - Moorer stronger and more power, Jones faster and better boxer. Id pick Moorer by late stoppage at HW

How about today? Forget about weight but both of these guys at the best they could muster right now.

I don't think Moorer could make 175.

Id pick Jones by UD around 8-4, Prime Jones at 175 would be hard to beat for the alltime greats and Moorer wasnt that great at 175.

Moorer was a serious puncher at this weight. I think Jones would have to fight very cautiously. I think it could go either way.

at lt. heavy, moorer was a very good, aggressive puncher. jones a bit shook up from the stare down and gets ko'd in one
