Facey had two teeth knocked out

Post by bennie »

SecondsOut are reporting that Andrew Facey had two teeth knocked out when floored for the first of the five knockdowns he suffered against Jamie Moore. Facey's an underrated fighter.

That was some knockdown, absolutely brutal. Didn't think he would get up from that.

Facey recovered well from it too, it was a strange fight it some ways, it looked like had Facey been able to avoid the Moore left hand just a little more often, he might have worn out Moore down the stretch who was starting to tire. When Facey opened up we was having some success and then boom! he was on his arse again.

Cracking fight while it lasted though, I hope Facey keeps on getting the chance, he deserves it.

Macklin shouldn't be too discouraged by his extremely tight points defeat against Facey either...

You could see the one tooth go flying. It was near the end of the fight, not long before it was stopped. Although that doesnt tie in with what Ingle says at all lol

I've just been speaking to Richard Lakin of the Wolverhampton Express & Star (Facey was brought up in Wolverhampton) and it looks like Andrew will be fighting either Gilbert Eastman or Anthony Farnell next. He's certainly cashing in on his English title. And he holds down a good job in Sheffield, too.
Mind you, his Mrs ain't happy said Richard. All she wants for Xmas is her husband's two front teeth!

I would like to see a Facey vs Eastman rematch. I know Facey probably deserves the better pay day (which I would assume would be Farnell). However, I just would like to see how Eastman would fair now he's got his timing and confidence back.

I always used to think Gilbert was the better Brother, and he's still might be.

Facey would box Farnell's brains off.

Absolutely! No way Facey gets within 10 miles of Farnell!
