Boxrec has a fight listed as having occurred on 14 December 1970 between Bill Reeves (Global ID 134372) and Alec Ross (Global ID 116787) at Marrickville RSL Club. This is incorrect. The fight was between Reeves and Peter Blackwell (Global ID 54615). This was a comeback fight for Blackwell. I remember watching the fight on Channel 9, Sydney. I did not know either fighter personally, but Blackwell was well known as a tattooist at East Hills, New South Wales, and he tattooed some of my friends.
Blackwell and Ross had fought on 8 December 1958, with Ross winning. Ross and Reeves never fought each other.
