always feel sorry for brodie.harrygreb wrote:and the rematch was a very sad affair with brodie crying and saying he let everyone down - he let no one down he was a brave brave fella that night and i'll always love the guy for that
he was short changed badly after that jorrin robbery.
he didn't get a title shot for another 3 yrs after that fight.
3 yrs is a long time for the little guys.
especially when your already 26 which brodie was when he fought jorrin.

Brodie had Chi in all kinds of trouble with body shots, but he seemed to tire from the effort of throwing them. Chi's resilience is absolutely incredible, as soon as Brodie stopped hitting him to the body, Chi just came on strong and started taking over in the last3rd of the fight.
Both men looked like they had been in a knife fight at the end.

That's a fair assessment. Brodie threw some cracker body shots and Chi just refused to buckle. His resilience was first class and must have been so fit. Brodie had just had the stuffing knocked out of him by the time the rematch came around. Wasn't Chi announced the winner and it later changed to a draw (or vice versa?).
Anyway it was surprising to see Chi so badly stunned in his first defence against Eichii Sugama which SKY surprisingly picked up. He had looked indestrucible against Brodie and previously versus Morales.
