Sponsors naming boxers...

Post by Goz »

Bennie's thread about the boxer from Thailand (3k Battery) got me thinking, what if our boxers names were actually sponsored by companies in the UK, what name would suit some of our fighters?

Big Mac - Formerly known as John McDermott I can think of no better advertisement in the boxing world for the globes numero uno fast food chain.

Night Nurse - Formerly known as Johnny Nelson, need I say more? Heh even Johnny 'Night Nurse' Nelson would be more apt than 'The Entertainer' (is that ironic?).

Homebase Gardening Centre - Formerly Naseem Hamed, now spends more time tending to his shrubs than in a gym.

Johnny Nelson should be sponsored by Tmarzaban (spelling?) you know the sleeping tablets.

Marlboro Magee v Heineken Hatton - The Rematch

One of Bruno's opponents, a fat guy from Belgium, was sponsered by DUVAL - which is a 8% strong beer. Needless to say he only went one round
