I'm not sure if it was that fight or another one involving a Mexican fighter who was introduced by Buffer as being from "Cuidad Mejico" only for the commentator to observe later in the fight that the guy was from the town of Cuidad in Mexico....
Cuidad is Spanish for city so boxer must have been from Mexico City.
As far as anyone knows the permatanned one has NEVER put a foot wrong.
I'd produce a list of Duke's gaffes but rather than making me laugh i usually find myself doubletaking the tv then answering my girlfriends questions as to what he meant/was trying to say.
Anything from Duke McKenzie, especially when he is saying why a fighter is being unsuccessful, followed by said fighter sparking out his opponent only for Duke to go onto to say something along the lines of, 'as I was about to say, if he does ...(what said fighter has just done)... he would have more success.'
On the subject of commentary - why do commentators these days feel the need to growl? TalkSport are the worst for this, although Adam Smith is getting there.

David is not "late." he is still living in Chalfont St Giles (or Peters, I forget). Also he never said this, even though it is often attributed to him as a Colemanballs example. The qoute came from Ron Pickering, who is no longer with us, his co-commentator with the BBC at the time. Pickering, incidentally, did much to assist in the development of Daley Thompson as an athlete. One of Coleman's better ones was when he referred to a Spanish athlete as "the little Spaniel."
