Hatton/Mayweather Tickets!!!!!!!!!

Post by Albert »

A while back I wrote my concerns that either the Mayweather/Hatton tickets would be too expensive or there would simply not be enough released by the MGM Grand & Golden Boy to fit demand. Team Hatton were given assurances that there would be plenty of tickets given to them.

Unfortunately "The Sun" have confirmed that just 3900 will be released to British fans.

Won't say too much more other than the High Rollers and ticket touts win again.

This is NOT Team Hatton's fault but something has to be done about those greedy twats in America.

The casinos put a good percentage of the fighter's pay day up via their site fees and therefore you have to expect them to take fair few tickets for their clients.

That being said the MGM holds about 18,000 so I would have thought the best part of 10,000 should have gone to public sale (not including blocks of tickets sold to fighter packagers etc..)

Shirow, have you any info on how many you will be able to get hold of??

Was unsure whether I would be able to afford this trip - this news might be the death nail to my intentions to travel.. :(

Is the fight shown on CCTV in Las Vegas for those who can't get tickets??? I thought it was, but one of my muckas who went over for the PBF-DLH fight said it wasn't shown live anywhere.

When do the tickets go on sale?? might try the MGM direct (cheers Chris)

HBO will blackout the area, as they did for the DLH fight. When I went to see the fight they were selling CCTV tickets, which I think were $50, but these were all sold out too and ended up costing way more than face value for anyone that wanted them.

I'm not sure how accurate that 3900 figure is but the UK box office has been very non-comittal on how many tickets will be available from them.

I'm set up to get lots directly from the US.

They certainly were selling lots of closed circuit tickets for DLH v PBF when i was there for lots of different hotels. I don't know anyone who went to one of them but i'm sure they were happening. I expect they'll do the same for this to avoid the Mancs (who've already booked their 3 connection, 20 hour flights ) burning Vegas to the ground.

When fights are sold out, they are usually shown on close circuit in the hotels but there will be a blackout for bars and I think local residents.

If you log on at 6pm on the 17th you should be fine mate. All you do is show the credit card you booked and paid with when you collect the ticket from the MGM.

Floyd v Mayweather was showed in casino ballrooms.
