I was told DLH and Castillo used Jabs when they pressured Floyd. Hatton mostly dives In lacking defence and then rough house them and pound to the body.

I don't think Hatton's diving In pressure will give him much of a chance, he leaves himself wide open as he dives In and thats perfect for Floyd.

Yep, don't give the self proclaimed Pretty boy a chance to utilise his own jab and not to get off at all would be the key. Its a tough ask mind, but the only way Hatton can do it.... When Oscar neglected his jab, Mayweather won the rounds clearly.

Gotta tip Floyd, but your analysis is the only way Ricky can do it. Hope he can land one killer body punch.

Hatton does have a jab but he doesn't use it, maybe he will against Mayweather, he used it quite a bit against Tackie.

Maybe hes planning using the same tactic as he did against Tyszu who was also a counter puncher. Quickly close tha gap, take a shot coming in and then throw a combination of 6 of his own. Maybe he'll lead with lunging left hooks to the body.

Hatton has an excellent driving left which basically does the same job as the jab - he just throws it more like a hook so Compubox comes up with ridiculous (yet true) statistics about him landing 5 jabs on Collazo - he uses his long (for him) left screwshot and comes in behind it.

For Hatton in this fight, the jab we speak o isn't some counterpunching rangefinder, he just needs to use it as one of the gazillion punches he is going to have to sling at Floyd - to keep the 'Pretty Boy' off his rhythm.

He doesn't dive in. He actually cuts the ring down and uses good, fast footwork.

You could argue he "dived in" vs Urango and Collazo but they were poor preparations and he was fighting southpaws, where he never looks comfortable (no shame in that, the master boxer, near great Masamori Tokuyama could win at a very high level but give him a southpaw and he looks off-kilter). So Ricky did that in what, 2, maybe 3 of his 40-odd fights if you count the Magee fight as well.
