The Contender 3
Does anyone know if the new series of the contender will be shown in Britain? The fact we have a British fighter as well as some other non-Americans gives the new series some added interest.

Well hopefully Paul Smith will be in the Buddy McGirt team, i can't stand Pepe Correa the other trainer.
Bika , Soliman and Williams have all been fighting at Supermiddle, so that could make it tough for them to get down to Middle.
If Soliman can make 160 ok, then he has the busy style to win this.
Smith can have an impact, maybe make it to the final.

Too true. That cheerleader did nothing for Double L's fistic development.Old bones Ian wrote:Well hopefully Paul Smith will be in the Buddy McGirt team, i can't stand Pepe Correa the other trainer.
My over riding memory of him is during a post fight interview with Lennox, when his sole contribution was to continually repeat the mantra "He is British and he is bad".
Yeah, thanks for that Pepe..

Six fighters were eliminated during the first espisode of The Contender: Season Three. In a special "tryout" episode, the fighters took a SPARQ conditioning test. Eliminated were Les Ralston (too small) and Rubin Williams (out of shape). After sparring sessions, Roshii Wells (rusty) and Miguel Hernandez (too small) were ousted. After a day of sparring with Contender stars Sergio Mora and Peter Manfredo, Danny Santiago (too heavy) and LaFarell Bunting (cut in the previous day of sparring) were dismissed. The fighters were divided into the following teams. Pepe Corea: Max Alexander, Sakio Bika, Paul Smith, Wayne Johnsen, Brian Vera. Buddy McGirt: Jaidon Codrington, Henry Buchanan, Sam Soliman, Donny McCrary, David Banks.
