You can get it on Virgin but won't be able to on a normal freeview box.

I think it's because Hobson is the UK promoter, and doesn't have a stake in the GBP promotion.

good news i think, the competition is great for the fans....pretty much every big US card is gonna be shown live by one of the networks....just goes further to show that loyalty doesn't exist between team Hatton and any promoter/tv company.....not a criticism, just an observation

Fight Academy do have a 6 fight deal with Setanta. The Clinton Woods show is another show as part of that deal. Hobson remains as Hatton's UK promoter. Also Matthew Hatton fights on the undercard of the Woods show.

Hobson doesn't have a stake in US promotions anymore. He's Hatton's UK promoter but not his US promoter. So that's why it isn't part of Hobson's Setanta deal, surely.

I doubt Hatton will just go into loads of Golden Boy events, because of how he was screwed over re the ticket allocation farce. Not a Brit-friendly promotion. I look forward to Hatton coming back to these shores & this looks like where Hobson will come in. Mayweather's too tame to beat him IMO.

Good to see the Sky/Setanta competition. More fights is never bad.

no I don't but I do think that he knows who his friends are and who the sharks are and that we'll see him in a big British fight again for the British fans who have been snubbed for this fight.

I don't believe DLH fights Hatton. If he thinks Hatton has a chance, he won't go near him. I believe Ricky beats Mayweather, whose offensive abilities are tepid; and that Oscar will reconsider, unless he can take him up to a silly weight like 154.

Anyway, we don't want Oscar over here. Face it, we'd all rather see Ricky vs Witter on these shores. I don't care a damn what that overrated 8 round fighter does.

I can actually see Hobson and Hennessy working together. If that were the only problem then Witter v Hatton would have happened by now.

The major problem is Ricky Hatton's wishes, he doesn't seem to like Junior very much and doesn't see why he should give him a pay day, therein lies the major stumbling block.

Isn't Tyson vs Francis still the best selling UK PPV? It would be like that, but with a far more competitive fight... Don't get me wrong, Hatton vs Witter is a fight I would love to see and would be an event too - but nothing to the magnitude of DLH vs either of them.

You might think DLH is overated, but when you criticise him for being an 8 round fighter and then champion Witter does sound rather odd.

Hennessy imo will promote the sky warm up with Witte main fighter, like against Urango. It shows sky still care about boxing which is a good thing, they dont want warren fights anymore it seems

well, Oscar's supposed to be the biggest fighter in boxing, so being an 8 round fighter is not so cool, is it? His fights are all boring and seldom match the hype.

I'd rather watch a great British match. Usually the British pride thing adds a great deal to all British fights of magnitude. The grudge match side of it, the fact that Witter and Hatton would refuse to lose to each other, the added intensity of both being proud world champions...this would elevate it to a level of intensity that few fights will match. Come on, this would be tremendous.

Whereas anything with Oscar is bound to be an overblown spectacle (as Tyson-Francis was though of course that was more freakshow). Ppl just turn up to see a name, rather than a fight, and this is something that bores the shit out of me.
