Morris v Simpson III

So how does everyone see this fight going, Morris won the 1st encounter comfortably, the 2nd fight was decided on a cut which lead to Simpson being the winner, Morris was devestated by the loss which he said was unfair as his corner hadn't been given a chance to work on the cut , but Simpson was having more success before the cut decided it. He seemed to be aiming more shots at the body, and was more aggressive.

Since then Simpson has challenged Derry Matthews for the WBU title , in a bad tempered match Simpson floored Matthews in the first before losing on points. The decision was disputed by Simpson, but it seemed fair to me.

Morris is determined to set the record straight ,but if he's not got his head right this could play in Simpsons hands. Morris is best when working behind his Jab and using his excellent boxing skills, If he comes out trying to take Simpson out with a big punch , then this will lead into a brawl that would suit Simpson.

Cuts could also be a factor again, both Morris and Simpson have been cut badly in recent fights.

My feeling is that Simpson will start the better, but gradually Morris's better skills will lead him to a points win

As for Andy's weight how come he's a featherweight but he was a Lightweight as an amateur?

Not saying he's drained but he looks big for featherweight.

I think quite a lot of fighters fight professionally at a lower weight than they were at the amateur level - I think the extra time they have to train(because they are being paid) allows them to take off more weight - of the top if my head Roy Rutherford(pro featherweight) and Jamie Arthur (pro superfeather) boxed at lightweight as amateurs. Oh yeah and Tony Oakey was a heavyweight as an amateur.

And as for the fight I like watching Morris - tremedous footwork and always moving - I've been impressed ever since I saw his pro debut at the Guild Hall Preston - and I think he'll do a number on Simpson - he seemed to be landing more meaty shots than he usually does in the rematch before the cut stopped the fight.

Oakey doesn't look dry at Light Heavy though so maybe he was chunky at Heavyweight. His waistline at Light Heavy Is a tad soft,

They only get low because of the drying out tactics really. It's an unhealthy thing to do In the long term.

You'd think with all the training and supplements there taking, they'd fight at higher weights than from their amateur days.

Nothing personal against him but why post to say a bloke, who someone else tells you is Andy Morris because you are such an expert you do not know what he looks like, glared at him in a car and was lucky not to get a bat over the head?

Almost as eye-opening as the 'Lets go to Paris for the Haye fight and beat up some frogs' stance on there

He probably over loves his fellow Scotsman a little too much.
