Witter v Harris: round by round?

Post by ALI »

Is anyone willing to do this? I'm outside the UK, the BBC site only allows UK IP addresses to pick up the 5 live sports extra broadcast.

Can someone tell me roughly what time the fight will start, sometime soon?

PRE FIGHT

Harris comes out to "I feel good" by James Brown. Looks calm and focused but a bit dry. Hope he doesn't get caught cold and we have another Dunne/Martinez on our hands.

Junior comes out to some shit music. Looks nervous but focused. Had Goldenpalace.com SHAVED into his head!

ROUND 2

Witter looking the business. Has the better of the counter punching. Harris is having trouble with Witter's speed. Witter lands some heavy shots and hurts Harris. Harris is backed up and counters Witter with his first meaningful shot which rocks Witter. A good round, danger for both.

Witter 20 - 18

ROUND 3

Harris is trying to force himself forward but Witter keeps catching him and Harris is looking confused. Another Witter round. Witter needs more of this if he wants the big fights.

Harris getting back into it round four. but puffing a bit.

Harris down from a slip.

Witter very active, Harris looks shaken

Harris DOWN up at eight.

Witter now brimming, the slip was a KD from a great left hook.

ROUND 4

Harris has some early success coming forward and lands a decent right but then Witter takes over again. Harris gets caught off balance and goes down but the ref doesn't count it despite the punch landing. Harris gets up and is hurt. Witter puts him down legit and Harris doesn't look good. This won't last

Witter

40 - 35

Excellent work from Witter. When he hasn't got time to mess about, when he just gets on with it, he's sterling. I'm enjoying this a lot. Very 1-sided.

Round 5

Witter has been dominant thus far, Harris taken a big right and has is back to the ropes.

Poor jabs by Harris, Witter much sharper and stiffer punching.

Harris kanckered and sloppy.

Witter switching, good rights , Harris looking TIRED.

Witter feinging with jabs, harris missies with right, but Witter very comfortable

Good body shots by Witter.

Round 5 to Witter. In the mainly orthodox stance.

Witter should move back to Southpaw.

ROUND 5

Harris closes the gap between the 2 a bit in a scrappy round. Witter still with the quality work though. Even through in a couple of decent body shots for varieties sake.

Witter

50 - 44

ROUND 6

Witter slowing down a bit and breathing heavier. Another scrappy round where Harris has some success. Harris could have a second wind in him as he takes the round. Witter needs to come out with another big round before Harris can gain confidence.

Harris

59 - 54

Round 6

Harris lands good right and again to the body, but Witter not bothered.

Witter still orthodox flicking out the jab.

But slightly lower workrate by Witter, having a round off.

Witter ships another right over the top.

Harris best round so far. Busier work from Harris, Witter taking more shots.

Witter opening up last 10.

First round Harris has won Harris 10-9

Witter has fought well through the first 6 but appears to be tiring. Harris looked drained badly coming in, chest of a 12 year old. If Harris loses this I reckon he should move up to 147 as making 140 at 5'11 and a 74'' reach must take its toll.

Round 7

Witter more lively big right lands on Harris.

Witter showing good movement, Harris down again.

He is OUT

Harris weight drained, but good performance by Witter.

Reminded me a bit of Terry Norris John Mugabi, but not as quick.

A quick sharpshooter against a worn and weight drained puncher.

ROUND 7

Harris comes out swinging and nails Witter with a couple but Witter answers and smashes Harris, knocking out his gumshield and putting him out for the count!... Witters corner entered the ring before the 10 was counted. Should technically be a disqualification... Great performance by Witter.

Witter by KO

Bring on Hatton?
