Jones has never gone beyond 8 rounds but he's won his last 4 inside the distance. Watched him win against Craig Dickson at Clydebank and he is no pushover.

I reckon that Kev is a big step up in class for him and will prove to be too experienced. My money's on Kevin, by stoppage, in the 7th.

I concur, just think Kev has more experience at this stage and will KO Franny in around 6. However, Jones is on a decent streak and will be buoyed up after beating Sinclair.

Is Francis Jones a manadatory? I wouldn't have thoughts show - but I am sure I heard Dave Clark say "Kevin Anderson defends against his mandatory challenger" last wee.

According to the Board, it's a voluntary defence.

A good (but sad) stoppage, normally I would say a fight like that would be too one sided to be called a great domestic fight. However, this was an exception - even though Jones struggled to win a round, it was a fantastic effort by him... far better effort than I thought. I had the feeling that after 3 one sided rounds, Jones would just try and survive his way... No, showed tremendous heart.

A bit reminscent of Oliver vs Mullings (not quite as good)... That was pretty much a conclusive Oliver win, but so exciting it fell in to the "great" domestic fight.

Maybe not fight of the year as John McDonald said, but a contender.

Mutley's a puncher though, Ali and Jones aren't and they wobbled. He was lucky against Muttley though, Muttley should of finished him Instead he kept boxing his head off.

His stamina might be suspect too as he had to take alot of breathers after over throwing.

Because you never have a criticising thing to say about Anderson thats why. I comment on whatever British fight I've seen regardless of It being Welsh, Scottish or English.

I like Anderson, he Is an exciting brawler but his chin Is suspect and he gasses at times making a case for suspect stamina. He was hurt by Jones half arsed straights and held everytime he was hurt.

It was one sided still though.

It's nothing to do with being English, the Scottish always have a chip on their shoulder thinking were out to hate the Scottish.

Suspect chin, give it a rest with that nonsense, if you think he has a dodgy chin, every fighter out there must have a dodgy chin  Not too many guys on this side of the water can hold a shot as well as he does, open your eyes. He didnt look hurt at ANY point in the fight to me

Ando was only a couple of points behind Mutt when they entered the 10th and had Mutt taken a knee to recover they would have been even on my card. People blow that performance way out of proportion imo and lets not forget the aim of the game is to finish your man befoer the 12th or do it on points if all else fails and if my memory serves me correctly Mutt was KO'd ;)

Scottish bias? No. Anderson Bias? Yes. I think that's a fair statement, seeing as how you two only ever pop up after Ando fights, and won't here a bad word against him!

Top Dog,

Not sure who SIMPLEY BEST is ,but thing he is a pal of Andy Morris who likes his boxing - but if he does does not fancy a bet with you I will cover it for him if a Thompson v Anderson fight happens !!!.

Mark fights another Scotsman in Kevin Mckintyre in a British Eliminator and if he wins it then he will be pushing for a British Title fight. It will be a great fight between Mark and Kevin if it happens ,but I just fancy the power of Thompson against the experience of Anderson .

Cracking fight but I will put money on the Englishman if it does happen.

Before you lot stop bickering with each other, let's give a thought to Franny Jones.

I'm a great Kevin Anderson fan and had him down to win in the 7th. I've no doubt that he was miles ahead on points, but is Francis a warrior or what?

If any boxer deserves the title "Fearless" then it's Francis Jones. He just doesn't give up. If Kevin's movement hadn't improved under Bob Shannon then I reckon Jones may have caught him in the 7th or 8th as he was throwing so many back.

Francis Jones, you gave a proud display of real heart and determination against, in my opinion, a superior opponent, respect!!

Us Calzaghe fans know our boxing.

He was hurt a few times and backed to the ropes by Jones. He was wobbled by Ali too. Not saying It's china but It's suspect or shaky at most.

Who blows It way out of proportion? Only Scottish members have been saying It wasn't as one sided as made out before he stopped Mutt.

He was outclassing Anderson till Kev got the lucky stoppage.

Mutt should of finished him Mortal Kombat style when he had Ando down. I think Ando won't go above domestic.
