Can Hatton do a Honeyghan?

Honeyghan went to America to fight Curry who was the Mayweather of the time and won - Curry had an impressive 25/0/0 record at that time and looked unbeatable - Lloyd Honeyghan was the underdog seen to have no chance at all - Would he last five rounds, would he even survive one against the unstoppable Curry - I seriously believe the huge upset can happen again and Ricky will stop Mayweather - If it goes 12 rounds Ricky will lose - Either Mayweather will win by several rounds or if its close he will still get the decision because of who he is and the fight being in America - Ricky has to stop him, there is no other way, and I think he will - It wont be easy, Mayweather has the power to stop Ricky, combined with what most consider the best boxing skills of any boxer at any weight active today - Rickys body punches have always been awesome but I think they are even more devastating now than than a few fights ago - Just seen a documentary on BBC4 about Lewis Hamilton who is now a sports mega star because of what he has already acheived as a rooky in F1 - If Ricky beats Mayweather IMO he is easily up there with Hamilton, but thats another sport - McGuigan thinks Calzaghe is the best British boxer of all time - I think both Hatton and Calzaghe have the potential for claiming that title but in the meantime for me its still Buchanan.

The night Lloyd beat Donald Curry at Caesars Palace was a fantastic victory and one of my favourite fights.

Can Ricky do the same? - I have a feeling that he will simply outwork Floyd and get the victory, I don't think it will be as dominating a performance as Lloyd's but it won't be far off.

Also think Barry McGuigan is wrong about Joe Calzaghe (who is a Top fighter) as I personally believe that Lennox Lewis is by far the Greatest British fighter there has ever been.

i was shocked as hell when lloyd beat curry.i thought curry was the best p4p fighter at the time.
i do have to disagree on hatton beating mayweather.i just think floyd is too technically sound and will make ricky llok amateurish.i could be wrong but i just don't see it happening.

and as fo lennox being the greatest brit fighter ever i agree 100%
lewis is in my top 3 heavyweights of all time.he was fantastic.

winning that bbc sports personality of the year is gonna be tough.

even if lewis hamilton doesn't pull it off and win the world title.

hamilton is being pegged back by alonso and it's beginning to look like it may slip away from lewis.

but ricky's problem is that his fight will be the night before the awards and it won't be plastered all over the papers in time.

I agree entirely but surely if he wins this will feature big on TV and radio news - I think I am right in saying its the public that vote so this should be fresh in their minds having just happened - Lets hope he gets it, if he does win, God he deserves it.

If someone wins a bronze in the class b, dingy racing u/21 euro championship, Ricky will not stand a chance whatever his result v PBF, as minority sports are the only things shown on the BBC!
