This might sound a stupid question, but does anyone think that Elcock could have got up? After been sent sprawling through the ropes by the time the ref reached 6 or 7 Wayne looked fairly coherent as he remained on his backside.

But then he kinda shook his head as if to say "Shall I get up?", "Nah, fornicate it" and he took the full count. Was he still in total shock and it was a case of the punch simply freezing him, or after tasting Murphy's right hand did he want no more part of the fight?

I am reading he has a rematch clause. I can't see him exorcising it immediately. I exepct to see Murphy go in with Farnell or Lockett with the winner fighting Elcock providing he comes back and doesn't lose again. Tserenko suggested Wayne doesn't have the sturdiest of chins. Murphy confirmed that.

Did anybody else notice that nearly all the hurtful punches landed in both Harrison and Elcock's bouts were blows to the Temple?

Why is it that sometimes fighters are able to soak them up and sometimes not?

I suppose the same could be said for the chin.

He was always a bum - the push Sky gave him was a fornicating joke. The first time I saw him I clocked on to that boso...same with Alex Arthur.

Its hard to really argue what this result makes Farnell. All you can say is that Farnell hasn't got much power at Middle.

Farnell has always been distinctly average, his will to win and hard training have carried him through but he will always struggle against better foes. His inability to slip a jab is what i could never fathom, he stuck his chin out onto it all night!
