Yeah, there were a number of scuffles/fights in the crowd - security had to intervene on at least two occasions. I hope this doesn't put you off bringing your other half again - that's not the norm at York Hall. I was the plum roped in to help the ring card girls - not my area of expertise.

yeah you maybe right, there was a fella, maybe haskins dad or a close friend that was calling sanigar a wa*ker and a c**t for about 15 minutes after the stoppage, loud enough for the entire hall to have their eyes fixed on him. He was absolutely fuming, i assume because sanigar alowed it to continue. i couldn't believe he didn't get thrown out.

haskins was doing well early on.

then just lost all method and started stepping in and swinging for the fences.

napa started picking him off.

and then the injury.

good KO from craig watson on the undercard.

shame watson is now up at welter.

Thought it was worth mentioning... Watson vs Lloyd Taylor 2... British KO of the year? Not only was it a temple shot but he was sleeping before he went down - actually showed remarkable recovery powers to try and beat the count.

Cannot think of many that beat it, aside from the James Cracknell one.

Oh right I noticed you helping them out.

That would normally be a dream job (like the final scene of dumb and dumber) but I've got to say they were the most horrific set of round card gilrs I've ever seen!! fcuk me my standards are low but they were BAD.
Did the one with the second round card storm off due to the crowd reaction?! I saw her get her coat and didn't see her again. Can't say I was sorry about that though!

No, I think she stayed the course, although they were moaning about how many more fights they'd have to do after the main event. Two of them were right mingers, the one with the straight hair was OK, although all were foreign. It's not as fun as you'd imagine. They all work at a gentlemans club I believe, so trying to pull them would be a futile effort. Plus, they didn't have much to say. but I was trying to watch the fight anyway so a dicussion on quantum physics was out of the question.

Haskins is annoying to watch, he puts so much into the first 3 rounds trying to take his opponents head off, when that doesn't work he loses his way a bit . Seemed he didn't know what to do once Napa started to work in the 4th and 5th.

I think Lee would be a better fighter if he used his boxing skills more, started to use a jab to set himself up. All that wasted energy on wild swings he uses at the start, that f*cks him up for later in the fight.

I'd like to see both boxers at the super fly limit, they are not bantams.

Napa may get a big fight next.

Also good KO for Craig Watson, he looks to have got so much confidence in himself now, that was missing when he lost to Fewkes
Courtney Frys 1st round win over Nick Okoth wasn't shown on Sky, not many do a number on Okoth, and Fry isn't considered a puncher.

Akaash Bhatia looked good, Kept his cool when Gosset was trying to lure him onto a slugging match.

Had to shoot for my train after the main event. What were the other results?

It's funny getting feedback from someone who isn't a boxing nut. It never occured to me anyone would see it this way but she found it hilarious that she was watching 'midget fighting'!

Nice report by the way Oliver, interesting (and valid) comparison to Pryce-Small (my missus was with me for that one too but thankfully she was asleep on my shoulder by that point).

Good performance by Napa.

He rode out Haskins' dangerous early start and then took over by the 4th showing good defensive smarts and punishing Lee after making him miss.

Only one winner for me by the 4th/5th round... it was just a question of would Napa win on points or get the stoppage.

It's onwards and upwards for Ian, as for Lee, although his basics are poor I still think he should plug away and keep going, there are some good fights out there at Bantamweight to be made.
