Martin Murrays pro debut

Post by wiganboxer »

Who ever went to the robin park bill on sat nite what did you think of Martins performance. I use to train along side him as an amateur and i think that was a nice first pro fight for him and the support he had was top notch.

He did okay, although Ambler was very very poor. Martin looked very solid, but his punches didnt seem hurtful, unless he wasnt loading up as to not gas. In saying that you can only beat whats put in frotn of you and he did so. Should be interesting to see how he progresses. His support was immense.

Yeah he sold close to 400 tickets i think half of st helens was there haha. Yeah he did seem to be holding back on is punches and in the amateurs Martin was a big puncher maybe Oliver said just have a bit of a work out dont go knocking him out in the first get some rounds under your belt. He was telling me hes on the Jamie Moore sky bill in october so hopefully might get is face on the tele if Moore-Facey and Thompson-Mcintyre dont go the distance :TU:
