When in Fact Boxing News had picked junior to WIN in the 7TH ROUND.
Does anyone know what Brendan was on about or had he not read the article ?
Intresting to see next weeks issue to see whether Brendon has apologised to Boxing News !
In another thread i predicted Witter to lose in the 7th, so maybe Brendon has got it in for me!! Sorry Brendon :TU:

Coco wrote: I have asked about Spud before, and no has been willing to say much about him.

From what I can gather he is an unpopular guy, a perennial tea boy for a few promoters, a big name dropper with no authority, and has run a few internet foruums banning anyone who disagrees with him

The big word of perenial almost caught me out about this Spud character - it means "lasting throughout the year" or "unfailing" or "Unceasing" or "lasting long" -

I am told Spud spent a couple of years with Frank Maloney then whilst still in the Army had a couple of years with Hennessy Sports, but has now been 3 years with Fight Academy.

I am also told he has been to Las Vegas twice with Fight Academy as well as the same amount of times to Monte Carlo and I am told he has worked behind the scenes on a number of big shows - not bad for a tea boy with no clout and who only name drops -

Or do people like you coninually bring up his name because you are completely bitten with jealousy?

Excellent - Now I have laid some more bait - I am off to bed.

Where is Rhino to stick up for his good pal Spud?

Wasnt the alleged tea boy knocked out in Las Vegas on a Ricky Hatton show by a Security guard ? :box:
Tyson

To answer this "knocked out" allegation - false!!! completely false - Did Spud and Paul King have a disagreement yep absolutely - but suffice to say there has been quite a lot of laughter on how this allegation has spiralled out of control.

But lets set the record straight - Paul King and Spud flew out together to Vegas, they also roomed together in Vegas and in addition flew back together as well - also for the record Paul & and Spud had quite a giggle together during the 10 days they were there whether that was in the Wynn Casino or in Ceasars.

Payne

Isn't amazing how the people come out of the woodwork to have their digs - oh well it brings the readers to boxrec so in a lot of ways Spud and Bertie are doing some good for boxrec!!

But of course your post - to answer your allegation of whether Dennis Hobson knocked Spud around the ring - embarassingly true - Hobson claimed he had not boxed before and then promptly caught Spud with a couple of decent shots one in particular which nearly took his mamouth head off his shoulders but he was still standing albeit staggering around.

Havn' got a bloody clue what you are on about!!!

The bold red headlines addressing individuals by name (and in Dave's case, by surname) have sold it for me.

He's back...

Well surely the context of what he is saying also. Albert said he didn't know anything about Spud when he first posted here, but now knows everything regarding his rooming details in Vegas....

It would be nice if we could stick to boxing instead of feeding the various ego's.

Perhaps your not him then  , cause I am sure Spud knows what an IP address... well he used to harp on about it enough in the ESB days.
