Verballistic, I've learned, over the years, that posters who stir up rumors do so for the attention. If you just ignore him, he won't have anyone to fight with.

Puncher7 - are you saying that one of our Olympic boxers has been kicked out of the OTC?

Again, I dont know the whole thing; I just know of one boxer who was kicked out(dont wanna name names), so i cant confirm those previously posted rumors which are probably false. But I do know of one boxer who was kicked out. Since there aren't any "alternates" I guess he was just considered a training partner.
So, as far as I know, no olympic boxers were kicked out but like i said i'm not claiming to know the whole story.

Just curious - if you don't know the whole story and don't have all the facts, why would you even put it on the forum? Especially if it doesn't pertain to any of the Olympic team members? If you don't have the facts, please don't start a rumor.

I heard a rumor that Mel and Rick are separated. She is at home and he is in Oxnard working at the National PAL tourney.

Now before everyone starts spreading this around and getting the facts wrong, they are just taking a little break. LOL.

Mel, tell Rick to keep sending the info as all of us normal fans appreciated the results and the bout sheets. And tell him thanks from all of us.

Sorry about spreading the RUMOR, but I think I have my facts correct. :D

Dennis - for a lawyer, you have an awesome sense of humor!

I did thank Rick today for all the fans, considering the info on my website is the only source. Can thank Tournament Director Bo Davis, too, for giving Rick the results and bout sheets.

And yes, Counsel, your facts are entirely and totally correct. You did your research well. :TU:

I'm glad you enjoyed it Mel.

Any word on the TTT clinic? I still haven't heard anything.

I'm willing to bet there isn't any TTT this year. It would have been (1) held by now or (2) announced. I'm struggling with going to the annual meeting this year - mainly for the official's meeting - could care less about anything else (except the athlete registration is changing to a year from the date they register instead of calendar - no, I don't have any info). I'll email a few peeps and see what the scoop is.

If it does that is going to be a nightmare to keep track of for the coaches/gyms/registration chairperson, etc. It is frustrating for someone to have to pay the same amount if they register in July as they do in January, but I see this change as being more hassle than its worth.

Dennis, I couldn't agree with you more! The subject has been brought up at the annual meeting for the past two or three years. And the change never implemented for the reasons you state. Having done registration before, it's going to cause mental breakdowns for any LBC with more than 200 boxers. At least with the yearly sticker color, you could see, at a glance, if a boxer was currently registered or not. Now weighmasters, and others, are going to actually have to look at the books. We consistently have over 1200 registered boxers every year and I'm afraid it's going to push our Registration Chair and his committee into total melt down. [/u][/b]
