The Mexican’s opinion is…. since Medina fought twice in Britain under circumstances favoring Harrison and was the better man in the first fight, he deserves a tiebreaker rematch in Tijuana.

During the interview when he was asked why he ran & stunk out the joint, he kept repeating “Thas boxing.”

They Mexicans jokingly say that Medina stubbed his toe climbing the steps to the ring, which affected his movement, & the English food is so bland that he felt ill. So he deserves a rematch too.

He also was coming on very strong when the fight was stopped with Medina because of an accidental head clash.

Most Yanks (With the exception of the Current Forum & RSB.) don’t know that much about fighters smaller than Lightweights because there are not many of their guys in the mix.

Medina wasn't ordered to fight Abelyan after he beat Harrison first time, i dont think it was time for a mandatory. Anyway, the decision for the winner of the rematch to fight Abelyan was made before the 2nd meeting.

I think that after a tough last few fights Harrison should fight someone like Abelyan to try and recouperate somewhat. Medina has little left to offer Boxing IMO a the higher levels and Harrison showed me he has not yet reached those levels yet when he was outboxed by Medina first time round. However he had learned from his mistakes and was clearly fitter and dealt easily with Medina second time round, a third match would not be on my agenda list for Scott. A fight with Brodie would be a stormer somewhere down the line and even Chi-Harrison, although i cannot see Brodie beating Chi the second time round. Ayala-Harrison would be good but Harrison would be so much bigger than Ayala, Ayala is mainly a Super Bantamweight who's last venture into Featherweight ended in a brave but IMO unanimous loss. If you look at people like Ayala and Bernard Dunne and Kevin Mitchell you realise the size of Scott Harrison and how big he is for Featherweight. Harrison-Abelyan is a wise move next for me.

After 3 controversial losses it’s a pity to see he’s not gotten a title shot and what’s worse is the way he has been avoided by the other so-called contenders & new guys like Diaz, Raheem, & Seda.
But he has still only proven himself 2nd level.

IIRC, Medina was ordered to make his first defense against Barrera & He laughed them off. That’s why Harrison got the rematch.
But when they were turned down, why didn’t they just take the next guy down which was Abelyan?
How convenient they waited until Harrison got his rematch.

conveniant for Harrison but for Medina also. He just skooled Harrison, and was probably one of his easiest fights. He might as felt (as i and many did) that Harrison didn't lose because he was ill, but because he wasn't good enough. In the rematch, i bet he got a bigger purse than he did the first time, for in his mind an easy fight. If the Medina-Abelyan defense would have been held in San Diego which is right next to Tijuana and on Showtime, Medina would of made just as much or more money than he did in either of the Harrison fights.
