When he stays off the booze and stereotypes, Brady can do good stuff though, his book "Boxing Confidential: Power, Corruption and the Richest Prize in Sport" is powerful investigative journalism.

It's not Sheehan's fault. The guy is just too big for his boots, and doesn't have the boxing educction to back it up. The guy's old enough to be my granddad and I'd still take him to school on the subject of boxing, as long as he remembers his lunchbox and pencil case.

The Sheffield scene was funny more than anything. While most were scribbling away during the undercard fights (how were they lousy fights?) Sheehan was moaning constantly on the back row. First it was his hellish journey from London, then it was the poor undercard, then it was his seats, then it was because he couldn't get the two seats needed for his wife ... and on it went. I found it pretty amusing. I don't really care or respect what Sheehan says in The Sun or how he acts at shows, I don't see him as a boxing writer anyway, I'd much rather read Bennie's work, Boxing News' work, James McDonnell's work over at Maxboxing or Secondsout if I want news on British boxing. What does a guy like Sheehan know? That's why, although he seems anooying and a bit full of himself when I've seen him, Bunce has to be respected, he's a fan.

As for this plug bennie, I'd be able to check it out, if the bastard postman delievered my copy of Boxing News today!!! I'll have to wait til' tomorrow.

I think I've just worked out who Sheehan is.

He's that little chubby bloke.

Yes Loynesy. Jim used to do a two page spread in the early days of Boxing Monthly. It was called "Direct from America", and offered light-hearted snippets of the fight scene in the States. It was hilarious. He was basically taking the piss out of the likes of Don King and Tyson, etc, and it worked! Now he takes the piss in a serious way and it just doesn't work.
