Good point - I forgot about his interim reign.Marlin wrote:I'm glad you ask...oliverfennell wrote:On what basis??Marlin wrote: If you are gona put Mundine and Katsidis on here then I am putting on:
Danny Green
Mundine has only ever held the WBA "regular, as in I'm not even considered the best in my organisation, title" and Katsidis holds the WBO Iterim title...
Danny Green won the WBC Interim Title so that gets him on the list!

dosent this all prove what a crock of shit boxing has become I mean I think im justified in putting MARIO MARLANOS WWF title back in 1972 not forgetting his fine TAG TEAM WORLD TITLE against the masked intruder and the Sarge at Mornington Netball centre.
I mean we could start on great stadiums that these titles have been won
Rooty ill RSL
Knox Tennis Centre
etc etc etc
Boxing needs some of these alphabets to piss off

By the way, have you ever been inside Rooty Hill RSL club? It makes some major holiday resorts look like shacks.
Lot of money in those poker machines.

Heres another question. Maybe another Forum subject.
Which aussie has had the most 'world title fights' Off the top of my head and without too much research I gota go for the master blaster.
After reading this I got onto BoxRec's resident stat guru and in terms of the big four Titles he is nowher near the top...Grant wrote: Heres another question. Maybe another Forum subject.

OK. That was a short reign.
Here is another one! Tony Wehbee, WBF Super Bantamweight Champion.
Interestingly, the man Wehbee beat was Fahsan 3K Battery (Don't look at me! I didn't name him!) who fights Steve Molitor on October 27 for the IBF Super Bantamweight title.
Granted, it is 12 years since Wehbee beat him.

Killer Carl Cox, Petros Skapidis Mark Lewin, Larry O'Dea, Ronnie Miller.......remember any of these names?
I know the Poms claim him, but how about Ruby Bob Fitzsimmons? He was born in England but left there for New Zealand when nine years old. After finishing his blacksmith apprenriceship he moved to Sydney and learnt boxing from Larry Foley, moving to America ten years later to go on to be the first man to win titles in three divisions. I believe he fought for the Australian Heavyweight title when that was a big deal (Sam Langford held it for a while). Not an Australian, but with strong links to this country.
