O/T TV & Broadband - what do you use

I'm thinking of changing broadband companies. Sky seems to be free if you have their TV. Anyone used it? How reliable/good is it? I need something VERY reliable - its essential

If I stick with Virgin, what about Virgin TV - can you buy sky box office on there?

I use Virgin Media and yes you can use Sky Box Office on Virgin.

I've got Virgin myself, but have had intermittent trouble with my broadband connection over the last 12 months.
It seems to have got worse since the Virgin takeover too.

I am also weighing up my options about switching, although on the plus side they are giving Setanta free with certain packages which is a plus for us boxing fans.

One thing we don't get with Virgin TV is the Sky interactive TV services, and of course Sky Sports News & SKy One since that Virgin/Sky spat earlier this year.

I have Virgin and have no problems - the broadband is consitantly voted top.

TV, pissed off they don't have Sky 1 or SS News but they give you Setanta free on the XL (all channels except movies and sport) package (TV, Broadband and Phone) for something like £50 a month.

You may not have SKY+, but they have catch up TV on demand that lets you search back a week and watch any top shows that you miss. They also have lots of shows saved and if you have the XL package again its free to watch for example I've watched every episode of Hustle, Soprano's, Banzai, Balls of Steel etc.

The only problem I've ever had is having to unplug the box now and again to reboot and also the few times I've had a problem is ringing India to get it fixed and them not understanding me and vice vera, but if you ask to be transfered to a UK call centre they do it.

Virgin is up for sale so I'm hanging on with the hope they'll resolve their spat with Sky and get Sky 1 back on.

I got Virgin media XL internet package and i have noticed a decrease in the quality of connection/service since they changed from blueyonder

No probs with the broadband service of Virgin at all - Annoyed to have lost Sky 1 and Sky news though.
