Seems he's tested positive for Roids, Amphetamines and a whole bunch of other gear......
He says it can be explained, but he would I guess..... from the amount of junk he's tested positive for, doesn't look like he can blame it on a vicks inhaler or energy drink or anything.
Seeings as he's looked quite impressive and got himself quite a good ranking since the Contender, seems strange he'd risk it all with that much gear in his system.... its not like it's just one substance he's failed on, but he's been on a bit of a binge.
Strange... Silly boy Any chance it could be a wrong test result?

There was word he could be facing Gary Lockett in a WBO title fight of some description, is there any chance he could still be licensed in this country in such a fight.

I don't think there was any talk of that -- I saw someone suggest that as a possibility in a thread on this board, but that's it.
I don't think there was much he didn't test positive for, check out the list.
Stanozolol Metabolite, methamphetamine, amphetamine, nordiazepam, oxazepam and temazepam.

Isnt methamphetamine the fabled street drug 'crystal meth'?? If so he needs rehab as well as a boxing ban.
He never impressed me in Contender - I thought he was pretty average and looked to be a protected fighter. Recent results had surprised me somewhat, maybe it was the introduction of Vitamin S into his diet that had helped him overcome his shortfalls.
Temazepan is a sleeping drug probably used to counter act the effects of the ampethamines he was taking - all in all it looks like Joey Gilbert needs a break from boxing and some time out to get his life back on track..
He's strong, but a fornicating awful fighter. Lockett would have taken him no problem.
He looked like he was on steroids on the programme. His dad was a marine or something, he was the ultimate "pressured" kid trying to do be a winner so as not to let him down....

yes it is crystal meth, and that stuff f*cks you up. has caused severe mental problems in alot of users, you just can't sleep, stay awake for 3 days.
Very addictive as well, and its getting bigger over here.
