WBC number one contender Froch is aiming for a world title next year
Carl Froch's defence of his British super middleweight title against former WBC world champion Robin Reid has been moved back a week to 9 November.
The fight, at the Nottingham Arena, has moved so Froch, 30, knows the winner of the Joe Calzaghe-Mikkel Kessler WBO, WBC and WBA titles fight on 3 November.
Promoter Mick Hennessy said: "It is relevant to the Calzaghe-Kessler fight as Carl is top of the WBC rankings."
Undefeated Nottingham-born Froch is closing in on a world title shot.
He said: "The so-called two best super-middleweights in the world fight in Cardiff on 3 November.
"But a week later, less than a couple hundred miles away, there will be a boxer in action who can take the pair of them out.
"I would fight either of them," added Froch, who has won all 21 of his fights, 17 by knockout.
Froch will return from a knee ligament injury when he takes on Reid in November

I think Miranda vs. Froch would be a great fight. Lacy or Bika would be good opponents for him as well...
My assumption is that if he wins this next fight he will be in with Cristian Sanavia the EBU title holder http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hu ... &cat=boxer however I think all things being equal one of those type of fighters would put him right in there demanding a shot. Having beat them it'd be difficult to see how he wouldn't get one ether (although possibly against a lesser belt champ like Mundie

What ever you say about froch Iv always been impressed he has fought everyone who he's called out and been offered a fight with.

Agreed, but all he should care about on the night is Reid, not who is next. Don't see this as any sort of reason for the fight to be moved.
I don't think it's why the fight is being moved either. But he will care a lot. If Calzaghe wins that fight chances are Froch will be fighting for a vacant title - Andrade perhaps? I doubt Calzaghe and Warren will want to stick around and fulfill the mandatories of the various sanctioning bodies - he already gave up the IBF without a fight. If Kessler wins then Froch will probably be fighting him for the WBC title if he gets his shot I imagine Kessler will do all he can to keep the titles should he win.

Looks like 175 after this for Calzaghe then unless he thinks Hopkins will make the fight at 168? I guess that's not beyond Hopkins he was 170 for Wright. I wouldn't hold my breath though who knows what Hopkins will demand for the fight.
