MATTHEWS/MARSH & WARD/LARYEA

Have either of the home boys got a chance next weekend - looks a tough battle for the pair of them from where I am sitting. 12/13 Oct

Surely Marsh is not big enough or strong enough to keep Matthews off him or is he?. I like the way Marsh boxes but Matthews has good skills as well and just seems so much stronger for me. The only thing I can't decide is if Matthews stops Marsh late on or not, any different views.

WARD/LARYEA

Think this should be entertaining whilst it lasts but fancy the visitor strong here he should have to much for Isaac but hope I am wrong. Can see this being a mini classic as both men will come forward from the opening bell I reckon.

Laryea may well get the stoppage here as just think he is too busy for the north easterner once again though hope I am wrong.

Any news on either fight?

I think Marsh has the beating of Matthews, Think Matthews has under estimated him, Will be a great fight..

Interesting view I feel that Matthews will be too strong and hit a bit too crisply for Marsh. Did not think he looked comfortable at times when Dean upped it at the 02 and assume that Matthews will be on him all night. Marsh has good skills but not sure he is ready for this.

Any of the North Eastern lads heard from Ward, he really looks up against it in my book, hope its a good pay day for him he deserves it.

I can't understand how SKY rejected Elcock-Eastman yet they are showing Isaac Ward versus an unknown African. Good luck to Ward though, hope he wins.

I think it's because they reckoned Eastman v Elcock would be a slow paced fight without much action(due to Eastman) , where as Ward v Laryea will be a war . The African isn't quite unknown either , he fought Nicky Cook for the commonwealth featherweight title a good few years ago .

Good to see Munroe back after a hiatus, he gave Andy Morris a good scrap up at Feather a while back i seem to remember, isn't he a binman?

As for Callaghan, he gets some title shots that fella

Callaghan Is already the English champ though?

You have to vacate that when you fight for the British(which is what he did in his last fight)

you dont have to vacate, Callaghan is still English champ, he'd have to of vacated if he won the British. and about him (getting some title shots

) He had 25 fights before getting his 1st shot and againts at least 4 or 5 future champs and top contenders, the title shots he's had have been at short notice when he got the call to save the show, took his opportunity, who wouldnt? Nobody had the balls to step in with Asiku a world level fighter for the Commonwealth title at feather, a weight above Callaghan but he did at 5 days notice and he got the call when he was on holiday and got a flight home. so you could say he deserves the shots he gets when nobody else is willing to take them, and after 25 fights before his 1st one you could say its long over due and he's making up for it now

First part of the double up - Although that puts me well in front it would be a lot more if Matthews manages to stop Marsh as well.

I hope Marsh can get the win but the odds seem stacked against him - It will be interesting to see, and will it be a clean fight?
