It's good for boxing though remember - Well that's what some folk say when anyone dares question Setanta.

Farce.

They should offer free packages to future fights for those who paid for the fight.

it was bad but this doesn't happen every time does it. How does that have a bearing on the other fights that they show? You seem to confuse the two.

They weren't able to which means they never received the sattelite feed.

Sattelite connections are prone to problems, often caused apparently by debris blocking the signal. Once the signal is interrupted, it takes a while to get the satellite back on line.

That wouldn't have happened on sky - they'd be ready for it - its happened many times with Spanish football but they'd have another link ready to go from CANAL + or Tequilla.

Setanta with this screen output problem are becomming extremely annoying

Was I the only one really looking forward to Bojado v Forbes?

I was gutted when it wasnt shown on Setanta - it was in other parts of the world and I have just started downloading the Russian feed of the fight.

Setanta have bought some fantastic matches and I signed up on the back of it but as soon as the boxing content drops off, so too will my subscription.

As others have said satelite feeds are prone to disruption but Sky would have had contingency plans in place - I can't remember the last time one of their international live screenings was compromised...

I don't think boxing output will drop off. Next Sat we have an all-nighter, Matthews v Marsh (UK) then Diaz v Diaz (US), for starters.

Techy probs need sorting but Setanta can fix this kind of thing.

Sky lost the pic for Winky-Taylor for a few secs which spoiled my recording but this was fixed in the replay next day.

Anyone see Setanta's replay today? All te fight was there. Ok a real bastard when you're watching live but it was such a depressing fight to me anyway.

The real action was Andrade v Mack. That was a superb battle and IMO Luevano-Davis being a world title fight was preferable to Forbes...

Domt get blinded by baubles VM, Forbes v Bajoda was ALWAYS going to be a better, more closely contested fight.

That said, I didnt want to compromise and miss out on seeing a young champ of Luevano's quality - I wanted to see ALL the broadcasted fights, as the viewers in other country's did.

Winky vs Taylor was in terrential weather conditions in the UK. I lost it a bit also in the build up, but not in the actual fight.

Did anyone else have problems with the feed throughout (the stateside bit) or was it just for the Barrera fight. It froze with me once or twice in the Andrade fight.

Got the replay taped thank god - get to watch it now. I might be on my own, but I had Barrera 1 round UP at the time of the stoppage - so interesting to see if Pacquiao did win the last 3.

As for Bejaro vs Forbes - I was looking forward to that one, but didn't expect it to be televised at all... Now I am Gutted, Sky would have done a better job.

What does everyone make of Phil Jones as a presenter, I think he holds in Bunce quite well.

My concern regarding the Boxing coverage is into December and 2008. Its a great start no doubt, but it advertising the same fights.

Would like to see them look at the domestic scene also, instead of endless Baseball repeats - across 3 different channels. I would like to have seen Eastman vs Elcock, McAlister vs Docherty, Rhodes vs Duran, Bernard Dunnes next fight etc.

yeah it happened a few times though not enough to ruin it.

It looks like Setanta are pretty dedicated to boxing. TWO cards next week, for instance. They show quite a lot of fights and with Sky and ITV we pretty much get something every week at the moment. They don't send their guys off to the US cards - Hatton excepted - so they save money.

I do want guarantees of more domestic however. I'd like to see Hobson put more shows on & I wish some channel would wise up and show Dean Francis fights. I've seen most of his comebacks and his skills are as razor sharp as ever in the last 3 bouts.

Sky do offer better undercard action on their US shows though, They even show us fights far down the card for instance early Andre Berto, Ron Hearns, Chris Arreola and so on..But MAB-Pac did have FOUR good fights on 1 card which is rare. I'm sure HBO didn't show them all either,

It's safe to say it wouldn't have happened with Sky and HAS never happened in my experience.

Setanta should have aplogised more. I know they did when it happened, but they closed the show out without an apology, and that was a glaring omission, especially as some people use the channel on a pretty much PPV basis.

Yes bunch of amateurs, I've never seen it happen on Sky so I'm assuming Sky have a back up signal while it appears Setanta didnt. It's great to have them taking some of the big U.S fights but they really need to buck up on the coverage.

I'll be billing Setanta for a new TV, because I was forced to put my foot through it when the coverage went off

yeah, that fight should be a no brainer for them to pick up but Hobson hasn't got a piece of this promotion has he so it looks like an RTE job

Yes, but I originally thought that Setanta and RTE were big rivals in Sports coverage - but obviously Setanta struck some kind of deal with them also too show the Dunne bill to UK fans (it was on RTE in Ireland I believe). Why can't a similar deal be struck.

I know Hobson isn't involved, but why not spread their wings a little domestically. I only hope there is know "exclusive" deals again!!!
