Matthew Ellis vs Paul Butlin
I have a soft spot for Matthew Ellis and it would be good to see him back on track, did he fight last night against Paul Butlin or was the fight called off?

To quote Paul Butlin: "His arse went."

Without any disrespect to Paul Butlin who seems a decent operator, wouldn't Matthew Ellis not be an overwhelming favourite to beat Paul Butlin? I would have thought so personally.

I fancied Ellis to beat Paul on Saturday, but it seems to me that Ellis no longer has the heart for boxing.Carlos-Wigan wrote:Thanks for the info Tom.Podmore_Birmingham wrote:He pulled out at five o'clock on Friday afternoon.Carlos-Wigan wrote:I have a soft spot for Matthew Ellis and it would be good to see him back on track, did he fight last night against Paul Butlin or was the fight called off?

He has been down to fight at least three or four times in the Midlands this year - he is promoted by Black Country promoter Paul (PJ) Rowson - but has pulled out at the last minute on each occasion.
He didn’t give any reason for his withdrawal on Friday evening.
