Absolutely bloody brilliant, I am so proud of Femi Fehintola beating Stephen Bell tonight - that lad has had it rough - yeah okay so have a lot of people but when you get to know someone I was so happy to see Femi get his hands on the English Title.

I have to say it was brilliant - a class moment in TV - to see Howard Foster walk up and lift Femi's arm in victory and see poor old Mr W arrens face - in my view not being humble enough to realise Femi did just about enough to win - the result was hardly controversial.

Another person who I regard as a pal now - Arnie Farnell - I have to feel for Arnie - he is doing well as a trainer and I am sure Stephen Bell will come again - what I found surprising for a Farnell fighter was that Femi looked stronger in the later rounds - was anything wrong with your man Arnie??

Respect to you mate and keep on sending them god dam awful jokes - the one the other day about the old lady and the horse shit was hilarious!!!

It was a close one, every one could have a different interpretation - not sure why Warren looking upset was him not being humble. He just saw it as he saw it. A bit like Richard Poxon saying "your joking" when Rawling said he had Bell in a lead going into the ninth.

Looked like Bell won that. Bells shots looked cleaner and landed on the gloves less than Femi's did. Femi was mostly going forward throwing single shots.

Bell did score the knockdown too.

Mr W arren in my opinion had a mini tantrum when he knew his man had lost - thats the way I saw and we will have to agree to disagree - I found it hilarious and most satisfying that yet again Mr W arren wins a purse bid for a Fight Academy fighter to appear on his show - and yet again the Fight Academy fighter takes the spoils - where's boxingchat when you need him around??

I will stress though I actually thought the fight was very very close indeed and lets face it the scores were just about right. I will also stress thought Stephen Bell did bloody well and I thought the fight was thoroughly entertaining.

The reason why I am gloating is obvious - poor Mr W arren.

Good fight that, I hope people who saw the one sided Khan fight stayed watching for that one. Last time I saw Femintola he looked a bit like a poor mans Naz seems to have chainged his style somewhat since.

Looked determined shame he doesn't have more power but well done to the lad and from the rounds I saw I had Femi the winner.

I was there and it was thought Bell won it by 2 or 3 rounds, but very close. Femi is at his level though. Johanneson is no great shakes but wiped him didn't he.

it was a nice little fight and i could not split them to be honest, but if pressed i would say that bells work seemed a bit 'cleaner' . . femi seems to be planting his feet a little more too, but i think he has reached his level, and english champion is no mean feat !

Maybe he won't lose too much sleep but it was still amusing to see him annoyed.

Rhino - I have to say I scored the fight with the rounds they showed - bearing in mind they did not show everything - of course I am going to say I had Femi winning the fight - what made the scores a hell of a lot closer is the 10-8 round in the 1st but even with that I had Femi winning what I acknowledge was a very close fight.

I will say again - I am very happy for Femi he is a good bloke who has some good now in his life - that is good to see.

It was close but Bell won the first 10-8 and definitely the next two rounds 10-9. That means the ref gave him only one of the last seven which were closey contested.

It is rare a ref gives so many nip and tuck rounds one way.

You can't take away the heart that Femi showed, but he will always be involved in "wars" because he simply doesn't carry enough power.
It's worrying how many visits he had to make to the scales to make the weight because his lack of power will be magnified stepping up a weight.
I'm also very pleased for the lad and wish him well but I don't think amyone could have had a serious gripe if Bell's hand had been raised.
You need to see all the fight, not just the televised rounds.

I am pleased for Femi but sorry for Bell - From what we saw it was so close it was sad to have a loser - Anyway Femi has won and full credit for the heart he put into the fight - Bit dissapointed Albert didnt share the joke with us though, I could do with a laugh on this dreary October Sunday.

And while your name-dropping is well-known, it's fair enough to say you regard Farnell as a friend. Many people on this forum do have pro boxers as friends and it doesn't matter if they mention it.

Why, though, do have to "prove it" with some oblique reference to a joke.
