Pryce looked supremely confident in there. He's really getting better and better as he goes on. I'd like to see him get a shot at a European, he's been matched tough in his career, but has really started to reap some rewards now.

Composed is a correct word - he looked a true champion in there tonight, possibly for the first time since beating Duran. I think the Small fight has done him the world of good for his confidence.

Feel a bit for Conception who although losing was fighting a smart tactical fight and seemed slowly building on his own confidence when bang. His chin will always let him down (not suggesting that the punch Pryce landed wouldn't have floored anyone).

Pryce showed some real class by curtailing his celebrations when he saw that Concepcion was in a bad way. That was good to see and fair play to Enzo who was right in there when Concepcion was down however, when Concepcion came around I think the last thing anyone would need when their minds are fumbled is to have Enzo Calzaghe in your face - boy, that guy can talk!

That's a good idea, that one. Will make up for all the light middle domestics that never happened.

Moorsey would wipe the floor with Pryce.

Whilst Pryce has done well - he is not in the same league as Jamie.

Is Moorsey perhaps getting a little too hyped for beating Macklin though?

Am I the only one who thought that Pryce looked in very poor shape physically?

Thats how he's looked at Light Middle.

He looked lean, he's probably not draining most of his water weight stupidly like most fighters are so he'll stay stronger than those who drain themselves.

He looked a little fleshy, but like you say, he's not draining to make 154, as he's really a blown up Welterweight. He can certainly bang at 154, but the worry would be some of the physical monsters he would come across at that weight at higher levels.

No he's merely getting the respect he deserves for clearly being the best Light-Middleweight in Britain . Macklin's a very good fighter too and defeating him(especially in the composed manner he did) is no mean feat .

And by the way, he was my mandatory for the british but pulled out on the day of purse bids. Read in boxing monthly that Enzo C said he would never put his fighter in a fight he knew he couldn't win, so maybe Enzo pulled him out.

Maybe Enzo pulled him out because there was something not right with his fitness and preparation.

Pryce seems to have found his mojo these days, lets see the fight and may the best man win!

I think Pryce went off the rails, but at the moment he is in good shape and would give anyone a decent scrap

The fight was never made so he wouldn't have known how long he had to get in shape. would of had at least 6-8 weeks. Lets not make excuses for him!! Your right he's doing well for himself at the mo, but he's not really fought anyone of note. Small is known more for his mouth than what he's achieved. Having said that, for someone boxing out of his weight division Bradley is doing well. He's winning fights on experience. But he could do with getting a nutritionist and getting down to welter. Above the level he's fighting L/M's are too big and strong for him. He's my kind of fighter though...he's got balls!! :TU:

Pryce is a rediscovered gem, showed promise at lightweight, went off the rails but is mentally far more keyed up and under Calzaghe far better prepared.

He's arguably my favourite fighter on the domestic circuit. His career is a lesson in hard rounds.

No pampering for Pryce.

But yep, if he could make Welterweight sensibly, without losing his self-belief, composure and stamina he'd be a handful, because he's adaptable, tall and a gutsy fkker.

nice post jamie, and nice of you to take your hat off to pryce. im sat here thinking that he will give you one hell of a scrap, but perhaps you are right and pryce should dip to welter as he does look a bit 'soft' at LM.

It was a helluva knockout, and Pryce has always been one of my favourites, but let's not get excited about beating a guy who was 12-5 coming in and has been stopped a few times before.

i thought conception stood a good chance in that fight. Never saw that coming at all. Missed it on TV , I wish there was somewhere I could see it.

as far as Pryce's weight is concerned, he must now have made getting on for 100k defending that tiltle......what happened to "if something ain't broke don't fix it....."
