Peter McDonagh is an embrassment

Post by slapbangwhallop »

the absolute shite that he has fought since the Gomez "fight" shows a total lack of credibility.

He should fight a decent level of opponant or retire instead of posturing as a national level fighter

rant over :D

Its not that I dont like him, I dont know him personally - however, since the fight against Gomez he is fighting 4 rounds against spanners.

First up was - Jason Nesbitt - who had lost 19 of his last 20 fights. McDonagh wins the four round fight on points.

Then came Birmingham's Karl Taylor - the guy has lost EVERY fight since 2003 and its not like he has been inactive, he's had 36 loses in a row now. McDonagh wins the four round fight on points.

And now we come to last nights farce of a fight against the mighty Duncan Cottier, who to be fair is on awesome form and was coming off an 18 fight streak (of loses) - result - I think you can see a pattern here, McDonagh wins the four round fight on points.

Now it is McDonagh's right to fight however he wants and good luck to him, but if he thinks that he is gaining any credibility with these fights then he is mistaken.

Fair enough if he was trying to consolidate on the Gomez win then that would be understandable but these fights show no progression and are as I have said embarassing

Tam McDonagh have complained about the difficulty he has had in getting a credible opponent - seems to be a bit avoided. He did temporarily retire.

you seem a rather envious or jealous person. What was the point in starting a thread like this? Im sure you know what goes on behind the scenes, oh yes you can pick this fight, pick that fight and its so easy made! Fact is at least at worst McDonagh has tried to keep active as best he can since Gomez fight, at least one of fights hes had since Gomez he didnt get paid, paid his opponent and just boxed to keep active, if you wish to slag people off or pass judgement find out bit of history or facts first
