Just thought I would warn you, that you might experience problems if you want to record something during that 30 day period. For some reason, it wouldn't allow me to record the Morales fight when I originally cancelled. You can watch it fine.

Im keeping it, although I have to say I'd prefer their products if they saved money on commentators and "pundits" as they all seem fooking awful, just send me the pictures. I watched the Barrera Pacman card with the sound off on Saturday. Some of the football punditry is awful too.

Hard to get rid with Mosley Cotto and Calzaghe Kessler both coming up.

how did you find the cancellation procedure? Did you experience an age of hold music?

Why PM the number? Is it some secret number?

the number to call is the one that has already been kindly posted by someone, it is correct.

think i will wait till the calzaghe fight falls within my 30 day cancellation.

to show what setanta are all about, i got my 'welcome to setanta' pack today from the postie (not on strike here !!) there is a colourful booklet in there, and lots of pages...but not a single mention of boxing, football yes, golf yes, nice aussie rules yes, celtic tv, yes...but no boxing. seems it is way down on setanta priority list.

I asked them about that, and they said that was only if you signed up for 12 months. Told them to double check, they did and came back insisting that was best they could do...bit of a shambles when you speak to them, like their recent boxing coverage in fact.

Even the Sunday repeat was cockeyed: they missed out the fighters being introduced in the ring and cut straight to the first bell, as well as editing between rounds - just so we could see Bunce blustering away on the couch for an extra 10 minutes. Do they think that's what we're paying for?

Let's pray they get it right for the big one next month.

I cancelled one day too late after the Hatton fight so was forced to hand over another £15, why cancel? Becuase I'm a tight wod.

I shell out enough and I drew the line.

I even got some sand out on the floor so you could see where I had.

They will phone you when your about to be switch off (after the month's "notice" with offers) and will stress the £20 connection fee if you want to use it as a PPV.

its getting ridiculous this whole satellite tv charge farce.

im a lover of boxing, cricket and football (in that order)

from terrestrial i can get boxing and a bit of champions league/FA cup?UEFA cup football

from sky i can get boxing, cricket and football

from setanta i can get boxing and football

the terrestrial is a bonus cos it is free (well 11 quid per month i suppose, but without the choice to cancel)

sky costs me about 35 quid pcm

setanta 10 quid pcm

grand total, if i want all 3 of about 56 pounds per month, thats over 600 quid per year, quite a large slice of dosh i think. i suppose the ideal scenario would be to have free view and setanta, which comes to 21 quid per month, but then i forfeit my cricket and lots of football and boxing.

fornicating hell its difficult, i think its setanta that has to give, and if cricket goes back on terrestrial in the future the sky might just have to give too.

I hav Virgin Media. We get Setanta Sports free as part of the Premium package.

I found out recently about the up and coming boxing matches they were going to be showing and think its great........ :box:

Sky Sports has increasingly angered me by not showing alot of the bigger fights from America.

Thank god for Setanta who can see how popular they would be.

Would love to see the viewing figures though.

Also, if possible, more advertising.

The break in Setantas coverage was annoying to say the least, but over all I think its a good thing that they're involved in boxing (for me anyway) as we get to see fight we wouldn't have done, even if it does cost me an extra tenner a month. I can spend £100 a night out easily, so less than £2.50 a week for Setanta isn't bad at all IMO (costs less than a pint)

It used to piss me off when i cam on here or read in a magazing about an upcoming fight.

Then trawled through the tv listings to find that they werent bothering to show it!

Hopefully this will solve my problem

For once lets have a sensible debate -

It would be very interesting and shall we say in the last 10 months to speak to all those promoters who are not presently with Setanta who have virtually begged them to get a contract.

With regards to me and the £9.99 I spend on it each month - absolute value for money - look at the channels you get for it.

You know Rhino I am sports mad and love the old football - that on its own justifies the £9.99 per month I am paying - throw the horse racing, athletics, golf, and dare I say it UFC - the price people are paying is a raging bargin in comparison in my view what you are made to fork out for Sky.

ITV are showing a load of the games - whether that be on the main channel or ITV2, 3 or 4.

I seriously cannot see what the problem is with Setanta - we get a channel who is shovelling as much sport as we can fit in down our necks - yet there are people still moaning.

Boxing tucked away on Setanta is not going to encouarge new fans to the sport.

Only a promoter having a contract with that station would say otherwsie.

£10 a month for Setanta is good value for money. In the last month I've watched a UFC show live, Pac v Barrera, Woods v Gonzalez aswell as about 3 or 4 football matches. Granted the problems on Sunday morning with the loss of feed wasn't ideal but can happen to anybody.

Overall I am more than happy with Setanta.
