Pleased as punch for him and especially for his trainer Andy Mayers – the former pro lightweight from Aston who is Nobby’s ever-capable and enthusiastic assistant.
Andy, one of the nicest guys in boxing, always thought he had a champion on his hands with Randell. He has now been proven right.
The amount of times I’ve seen Tony on the end of bad decisions in his short professional career is unbelievable. But he is 2-1-1 (1) this year; prospect form!
