Hatton on Showtime
Hatton on Showtime
Just a quick post to see if anybody knows if Showtime in the US will broadcast Hatton-Tackie live or delayed? I have Showtime in my hotel room so I'm well pleased I should get to see it although I hope they don't show it prime time over here as it will be out last night of the holiday and the missus will kill me if I want to skip dinner to watch boxing!
I got to see the Klitschko-Johnson card live on HBO which was excellent, glad that fight lump got KTFO. Even Ruiz nearly stopped him.
Didn't get to post on Harrion-Medina either, great perfromace by Scott who really powered his way through after getting a second wind when Medina began to tire. Also glad that means The Real Mcoy will staying with us...

Hello Goz. Hope you're gaving a great time. I believe Showtime screen Hatton's fights on a 'delayed' basis.Goz wrote:Just a quick post to see if anybody knows if Showtime in the US will broadcast Hatton-Tackie live or delayed? I don't think Hatton vs Tackie is live to be honest, never usually is anyway. I always get told off on another forum for giving away the results. It is on Showtime, you'll get Lacy but not Witter. Don't quote me on that one, but I'm pretty sure it will be on delayed.
Hope your enjoying your stay.

Hey guys,
Back in Blighty now, got to see Hatton-Tackie on Showtime which was great. The Americans seem really taken with Hatton, very positive in their commentry. It's funny because 90% of the US posters seem to slate Hatton on a consistent basis but watching Showtime you wouldn't know it.
And a big thank you to Sky for repeating the Don King card yesterday evening too, I hardly missed any boxing at all!

Hi Goz, Did Showtime interview Warren and did he give any idea of his plans for Hatton's next?
The Sky interview gave an impression his next one might be another record padder, then maybe Mitchell later in 2004 ( after he's beaten by Tszyu )
Larkin wants to take Hatton to Russia in Feb to be ringside for it..

Hi MW, no interview with Warren. Just showed the Lacy fight, then onto Hatton-Tackie, they interviewed Hatton himself. They really don't show much out on these shows in the US, in the UK sometimes we are luckier than we think with some of the comprehensive coverage we get of our boxing shows.MightyWarrior wrote:Hi Goz, Did Showtime interview Warren and did he give any idea of his plans for Hatton's next?

How was Lacy? Did Hatton say anything on US TV?Goz wrote:Hi MW, no interview with Warren. Just showed the Lacy fight, then onto Hatton-Tackie, they interviewed Hatton himself. Yes, you right nobody does a hype job (as in presentation) as good as Sky, the PPV's are especially good value compared to US PPV's. Sky also tend to show more action.
They have been bloody brilliant this year! What a 2003 its been.
Lacy was poor to be honest. Looked cumbersome and was being outboxed at times before some big shots bailed him out.stujones wrote:How was Lacy? And you are absolutely correct, as far as I'm concerned 2003 has been an absolutely superb year to be a British boxing fan (or more a boxing fan LIVING in Britain), perhaps the best I can recall and all this with no Naz fights and only one Lennox fight.
The reason I mention Naz and Lennox is that I always worried about the sport over here once they rode off into the horizon. Seems my worries were unfounded....
