GORMAN V HAMILTON... is Oisin Fagin in the mix?

I read reports that James Gorman and Hamilton fought a good fight in Belfast the other night. Now Gorman holds the North Ireland Area Belt (never heard of it). But more interesting is that he's calling out Oisin Fagin for the Irish light-welter title, which Fagin holds.

Does anyone else think that Fagin has too much for Gorman- a close split with Spadafora, another close one with Julio Cesar Chaves Junior. And he seems to give a great account of himself in all his fights. Really, he's one of the toughest sons of a bitch i've ever seen. I saw him fight Spaddy and man, I thought he beat him well. His heart alone should have swung the tide.

Anyone know much about either fighter? Will it be a good match or will Fagin prove too much? I've never seen Gorman fight- has anyone here seen him?

He would school any of these guys, if he came to Britain he would make a name for himself!!! Maybe thats what he should do, instead of being an 'unlucky loser' in the States

Didn't Fagan actually beat Spadafora but not win the decision.

Or was that overplayed by a conspiracy theory eager press?

Going by reports Fagan was unlucky to lose to Spadafora.

Isn't Fagan with old Stacy whatshisname from the current scene? I'm sure he was advocating Fagan getting a shot at Hatton after the Castillo fight

Fagan is a skilful fighter, but i was ringside when struggled badly against Chill John – without a win in his last ten entering – on the undercard of Dunne-Walstad earlier in the year.

I, along with the majority, had John sneaking the win.

On his day, however, he is an excellent fighter.

I was there in Dublin myself when he fought John. Fagan isn't the best "boxer" in the world but is a great "fighter" to watch. Tough as nails. In fact, up there with the toughest i've seen in the ring. His skills are always getting better too, it seems, but he had a bad night V Chill John. I thought a Fagan win was the right result on the night, but only just. Actually, the refs account of 76-75 score was bang on I thought. I saw the Fagan V Spaddy fight too and I thought Fagan won that one by a point or 2. I also saw him lose to Isaac Mendosa in Tulsa, Oklahoma and he lost that fight... but you should have seen him- he broke 4 bones in his face that night in the second round from an accidental head butt (as it was found out later) and he kept fighting until the ref thought there was too much blood and stopped it in the last round amid Fagan's protests. One tough cookie, for sure!
